  1. Thanks, I'll see what a plan costs. I don't need any calling or any texting. I only need data to check emails when in port before leaving the shop for a day of adventure.
  2. Thanks, I will check it out! I'm not interested in taking my cell on land and working while I am exploring new places. I plan to check emails first thing in the morning and then not worry about it for the rest of the day. So finding free wifi, although probably the least expensive option, doesn't interest me at this point.
  3. No we don't but we can get the T Mobile sim cards. Do they have a good plan and good coverage in the ports I mentioned?
  4. I'm wondering if there are any Canadians who have used their Rogers cell phones on International Roaming while on a cruise and if so, how well did it work? I need to access my emails a few times a week for work purposes and we'll be travelling on Celebrity Reflection to the following ports; Cayman Islands, Columbia, Panama, Costa Rica, Costa Maya and Cozumel. I don't want to take my cell off ship with me but would like to use it to access my emails while we are in port. My other option is to purchase the Roam Mobility / AOW International Sim Card. Has anyone any experience using that? How's the service in port? Are there any other Sim cards I could purchase that would provide service in all the countries listed above? The ships plan to purchase wifi is extremely expensive at $360 Cdn for unlimited use during the entire cruise. My research isn't finding any smaller plans you can purchase once on ship. When I sailed on Princess I would just buy something like a 30 min plan and it would do me.
  5. Thanks for the review! We are doing this itinerary in March on the Reflection. Just wondering if you remember how long you were at the Locks in Panama? Considering doing the same tour but we want enough time at the Locks to take it all in.
  6. Thank you very much for the replies and the pictures, they really helped me understand what it is like there!
  7. We are stopping in Colon as a Port of Call on Celebrity Reflection from 9 am to 7 pm. The ship isn't doing any Canal transit at all. Trying to decide on the best excursion to make the most of our visit so looking for some help. We hope to do a partial or full transit cruise sometime in the future but for now want to take in as much of the canal as we can. Has anyone done any Celebrity Excursions in Colon? I'm trying to make sense of the choices and wrap my head around where they actually go. I don't find the descriptions are the best. Perhaps someone can help? 1. Panama City & Miraflores Lock (C052) - The description talks about visiting Panama City then says "Then enjoy an up-close glimpse of the Panama Canal, with a visit to the Agua Clara Locks (Expansion Center)" It doesn't even mention a visit to the Miraflores Locks even though it's in the title. Does it go there at all? If so, how much time would be spent there and at the Expansion Center? How long would be spent in the City itself? Is the City worth seeing? 2. Expansion of Panama Canal Present and Future (C072) - This one starts at Miraflores Locks then says you visit the "Expansion Observatory Deck" Is this Observatory Deck at the Aqua Clara Lock / Expansion Center? Has anyone does this tour? Do you know how long you spend at each location? We are very interested in learning as much as we can about the Locks and see them in action. We'd enjoy any movies, history, etc available at the Locks Centers and have the time to take it all in while still take time to watch the Locks in action. Just wondering if either of these excursion would offer us that opportunity. We'd also like to see Panama City, Gatun Lake, Embera people, etc but we are only there the one day LOL.
