Is you ship leaving from Amsterdam cruise terminal? That's very close to the north of the city center.

Attractions like the Van Gogh Museum, the Rijksmuseum, and the Stedelijk Museum are all located close to each other South of the city center.

  2. I dont think this is true. There are 3 packages: Quench (unlimited non-alcoholic drinks per day per person), Signature (15 drinks priced $9 or under, alcoholic and non-alcoholic per person per day), Elite (15 drinks priced $15 or under, alcoholic and non-alcoholic per person per day). Excluding in-room dining, minibar, Chocolate Seduction, Free-style Coca Cola, Self service Draft beer, and Half Moon Cay. Honered at every Bar, Lounge, Cafe, Dining Room and Fine dining restaurants on the ship.

  3. We were in Rotterdam last year and enjoyed our time there. Here are some photos of our day there. Have a wonderful trip!

Nice to hear you enjoyed Rotterdam, beautiful pictures also!

I read that you remarked "Some kind of memorial ceremony was going on near the Maritime Museum right at the Destroyed City War memorial". Reading that I felt the need to give a brief explanation to all readers and future visitors of Rotterdam.

Rotterdam commemorates on May 14th the German bombing that devastated the center at the beginning of the Second World War. At 13.29 hours two minutes of silence are observed, the exact time when the first bombs fell on the city in 1944. The heavy bombardment lasted for thirteen minutes. As a result, a fire arose that destroyed a large part of the historic center of Rotterdam. The bombardment and fire cost the lives of at least 650 people. More than 80 thousand people became homeless because 24 thousand houses were laid in ashes.

On the 'Stadhuisplein', thousands of people gathered to watch the championship match of Feyenoord. The two minutes of silence were also observed there. Unfortunately nowadays at this type of football matches parts of the city have to be protected with containers. So you visited Rotterdam on a very special day! Grief and Joy (Feyenoord won the match) on one special day in May.

  4. At Amsterdam Airport Schiphol a Baggage trolleys and porter service is offered. If you wish to use the airport’s porter service, you will need to make a reservation five working days prior to departure or arrival. See this link:

    http://www.schiphol.nl/Travellers/AtSchiphol/Luggage/BaggageTrolleysPorterService.htm

    Assistance upon departures from Schiphol

Are you departing from Schiphol and have difficulty with mobility? Schiphol offers free assistance to passengers with reduced mobility or a disability. You can read all the important information here:

    http://www.schiphol.nl/Travellers/AtSchiphol/InformationForPassengersWithReducedMobility/AssistanceUponDeparturesFromSchiphol.htm

  5. On the way up to Myrdal they were not allowed to ride to the top but had to wait till the return journey. Boy did they look fed up

If they would have travelled one stop higher (called Myrdal), at the end of the Flam Railway, they would have been even more disappointed. Myrdal has nothing to offer at all, not even a nice view. I recommend to use Vatnahalsen as the turningpoint: www.vatnahalsen.no
