  1. I just got back from the Chef's Table last week. The new menu won't be fleet wide for quite some time. The chef said they were still in the testing process and would have a lot to figure out (money/amounts/etc etc). He had no idea of when it would be fleetwide but made it sound like definitely not til next year.

  2. I just did the Chef's Table. I also don't usually ear anything raw. My husband has been trying to get me to for years, but I never would. I went to the Chef's Table knowing a few of the appetizers had raw meat...and you know what? One of them was my favorite of the night!! Just try it, you might like it....plus there is so much other food to eat. The raw dishes are just 2 apps.

  3. I'm sure I could probably find this on Carnival's website somewhere, but I thought some of you may know. I've only ever used cash to fund my sail and sign account. For my upcoming trip, I'd like to put some cash on it and then have a credit card as a back up if/when the cash runs out. Can they do this?

I know I could just have the credit card, or just have the cash, but I hadn't heard of doing both before. Thanks!!

  4. I would love to know this as well. We are leaving on the Victory in about 3 weeks and have heard from people just off of it that deck 6 (the one we are on) has not been renovated yet. I have heard that deck 2 has been upgraded. Can anyone confirm or know when more upgrades will take place?

  5. We did that sailing on the Paradise this past January. We had a great time. Dinner service in the dining room was very slow on formal night. But I wouldn't say that makes service and the whole trip awful. The shows we saw were decent. I remember there was one really great comedian, the other not so great. My son loved the kids club. We all had a great time, but we aren't too picky. Sounds like you'll have a great time too. You've been on other similar ships so you know what to expect. If you enjoyed your vacation on those, I'm sure you'll enjoy this one just as much!

  6. I already responded earlier to the safety question, but as for adult alone time (or alone time for your wife as you said)...Camp Carnival is great. My son is shy and it usually takes him a while to warm up to people, but he LOVED camp carnival. We took him in the evenings after dinner and always came back before Night Owls to see if he wanted to stay and play with the kids or come hang out with us and he always chose stay and play longer in Night Owls.

They do a really great job. Also, if you guys each wanted alone time separately, one of you could always hang out with the kids at the waterslides/mini golf/etc places while the other has some time to relax, go to a show, or play in the casino. One of the nights on our trip, I didn't let my son go to Night Owls so they he could get to bed at a normal time and I stayed in the room and let my husband have a night to play in the casino. All that just to say there are plenty of ways to find "date night" or alone times! Enjoy your trip!

  7. Hi. We took our son on his first cruise a couple days shy of his 6th birthday. His cruise was to Cozumel and Grand Cayman. Both were very safe. We've been to Nassau without our son, but wouldn't hesitate to bring him with us. Shop owners can be a little pushy asking you to look at their shop, but just keep walking and a no thank you does fine.

Kids can stay on the ship in the kids club, but then they miss it out on visiting the countries. It is an option though if you lean that way. I'mean not sure if your 3 year old is too young for that option though? Maybe someone else can chime in with the younger age limit groups.

We've always experienced Nassau to be very safe, we were never nervous there.

  8. The menu stays the same but they will add a "special" or two to switch it up. He could also order something from the adult menu if by some reason it's something he'll eat. Another idea is sit with him in the buffet a little before your actual dinner to let him pick and choose what he might like. Then he can join you in the MDR. Maybe pick off your plate or just keep himself with entertained with the kids activity sheet and have dessert with you there?

Not sure if they can make a special peanut butter sandwich, but they do try their best to accommodate!

  9. to be fair... if you had bedbugs, there would have been multiple bites in a cluster or a line but not 'a bite' . I have never heard of bedbugs where they itched someone but did not bite and finally a few days later there was 1 bite

this in no way sounds like bedbugs. Sounds more like a mosquito bite

This. You were probably bit by a mosquito. Bed bugs have a lot of bites in a line. Never just one.

Also, of course you are entitled to your opinion, but I also think maybe you were looking for things to be wrong? You mentioned you loved the steakhouse, guys, blue iguanas, breakfast, and other places...but the rest of the food was awful....well, it sounds like a lot of the food was good too, right? It's not Carnival's fault there was a bomb scare, they were keeping you safe by not letting you in the area. As for the serenity area, you listed that royal also had the same amenities, I'm not sure what was different that you didn't enjoy?

Anyway, everyone deserves to enjoy their vacation. If you found a cruise line you enjoy, that's always a good thing! :)
