Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. That's what I want to avoid. We're due there a week tomorrow and I suppose there will be information on board. Thanks!
  2. Is there an MSC or Casablanca cruise port shuttle that will take you to Casa Port railway station, or if not, are the taxis plentiful and metered so you won't get ripped off? It looks a fairly long way to walk and we have to get to the railway station for 10:00. The ship docks at 09:00 so we'll be ready and waiting to jump off as soon we can. Thanks.
  3. Great news and thanks for replying quickly. Enjoy it!! 😊
  4. Hi maehara, hopefully your internet package is working and you're enjoying your cruise. How are you finding your 4 devices package? Can each of you be logged in and use the service at the same time?
  5. That's how it works on other cruise lines, but I wonder how many people have bought the two device package needlessly to do just that 🤔
  6. That's interesting, sadly ours are all Android 🫤 That's good to know for other people though, who do all have iphones
  7. Thanks maehara, let me know? Mark, thanks, does that mean I just give the other two users (wife and sister in law) my username and password for the internet package and they can log in each day and remain connected? So for instance, they go off to a dance class and I go off to a bar 😉, I can Whatsapp them to find out where they are later or vice versa, for example?
  8. I'm also trying to get an answer for the question "If three people are traveling together, and each have one phone, can we buy ONE 3 device package from MSC for the 3 phones and each of us use that device at the same time?" Trawling through various boards it is difficult to get a definitive answer, indeed the last two replies above this are: "No, only one can be logged in at a time" and the other is: "Yes, a multi-device package allows you to use all devices at the same time" Has anyone actually done what is proposed and what is the verdict?
  9. Thank you Dunchues and also rkitikitavii for your input, that's more reassuring than stuff I've seen on other forums (or is that fori?🙄) I shall rest soundly now . . . I hope
  10. I could, couldn't I, but I wouldn't 😁. Search this forum for interconnecting doors and you'll see the majority of people say it drove them nuts. I'm sure most people are considerate, but.......
  11. This may sound a silly topic 😳, but we've been upgraded to a balcony stateroom for an upcoming cruise, which is great, we're delighted, but in this new one there is an interconnecting door. I've read that it can mean a lot of noise can be heard from next door, so I'm looking at soundproofing it, without causing damage by ripping off paint after taking tape away, if I was to tape the gaps. I've found a magnetic tape on Amazon, which I'm thinking may do the trick, assuming the door is metal. Any thoughts?
  12. Good advice coming from experienced travellers, thank you. I've booked a Premier Inn near Heathrow but can cancel with full refund up to 1pm on the day of the reservation for £70. We're travelling to London from Malaga first and I'm tempted to take a punt now on a British Airways flight to Heathrow at £64 pp the day before the day of the cruise. That includes checked in luggage, seat reservation, cabin luggage etc and can be changed at any time for just the difference in cost of the amended flight if it turns out to be Gatwick in the end. So the questions I now have are, if the cruise starts from Antigua on 10th February, am I right in thinking the flight from London would leave early on the same day, the 10th, to arrive around lunchtime? If so, what happens if it is delayed, do they hold the ship, or make arrangements to get you to the first port of call? Sorry if the questions are a bit naive sounding!
  13. After a bit of searching I did find this, taken from the end of January https://caribbean.loopnews.com/content/arvia-largest-cruise-ship-ever-dock-antigua "This Saturday afternoon, the airport will welcome three Virgin Atlantic charter flights with passengers destined to begin their Caribbean cruise excursions from the Heritage Quay in St John’s." Looking like Heathrow as you say swanseaboy. Many thanks
