How about overalls, greasy Skoal hat and corn cob pipe. I want to wind up some uptight folks.

Glad I saw this. Just booked the Oasis and was wondering about this subject. I have Tinnitus as a souvenir from the Army and my spouse has bad hot flashes due to her cancer medicine. I am praying we can keep our small fan that also has a battery in it.
I never had a problem on Carnival, Norwegian, or Princess so I should assume its ok on RCCL as well I guess.

“Not bash on Carnival in any way” ... and then that’s exactly what you do.
In my opinion, yes, it’s only you and your opinion.
My experiences are vastly different.
Happy sailing on other lines until the changes you want from Carnival happen but I suspect you’ll be saying the exact same things about those other lines as those forums are filled with people saying the same thing about them as you are curently saying about Carnival.
Its the cycle of life.
Its not only them. I have had less than stellar quality on some Carnival cruises. I still sail them on occasion (my last one was in May). I just set my expectations lower and still have a good time.

Why shouldnt they have a place here to post and let out their aggravation without people beating up on them.
Doesnt hurt to let others know it could happen to them too.
I like you and want to join your club. I barely post here much anymore due to the hostility. Its one reason I refuse to put up any reviews and I have near a dozen since my last review

Thanks. Didnt know they changed it.

$79 now? I paid $59 for my cruise coming up Monday. Its even still available for that cruise at that price. Do the prices vary depending on the ship now?
-
Not really, just pointing out that you pay for an item that is pure profit for Carnival. Other cruise lines don't offer it, but rather let those in high loyalty tiers get on first. I just think it's funny how so many people get on a "cheap" cruise only to pay for "free" items.
Its a service, not an item. I really don't care what % is profit, good for them, I support Capitalism to its fullest and hope they make tons of money. For me I would gladly pay someone $100 cash to let me go to my room right away and get organized and not have to sit around guarding luggage in an overcrowded dining area or pool deck.So $60 is a bargain for me. When the rare occasion comes up that I need to use GS, I would rather hand someone Twenty bucks to be able to step out of the longest line for the shortest one.
Paying for the service FTTF provides isn't a "free" item. How would I be able to go straight to my room as soon as boarding starts without paying extra? Its not free. I can book a bunch of extra cruises with Carnival , skipping over others that I love as well for it and get Platinum but in the end, nothing is free. Again, the %profit does not matter. A cruise is a service and people will pay differences to have slightly differing experiences. Some like inside rooms, some windows, some balconies and suites. We all still eat the same food, see the sames shows, go to the same places. We all just purchase services and goods that fit our cruise needs better. There is no wrong choice. Its just as funny to buy FTTF to you as its just as funny for someone that books insides instead of windows. Everyone can have slightly differing experiences.
I am not loyal to any one cruise line so I will definitely never see Gold or Plat. $60 is nothing as compared to the convenience it provides for me.

it was a 10 day cruise
LOL Well dang. Remind me to not book a 10 day Bogan adventure cruise when Down Under

This one of yours? Monarch of The Seas?

I bring a small fan with batteries as backup. My ears always ring thanks to the Army so I literally need the noise.

Yea because this never happens on other cruise lines huh. [emoji848]. YouTube my friend.

The majority of those videos are on Carnival ships but of course Carnival owns hte most ships. Also price point does attract some folks that act differently. though I have yet to see such behavior on any of the Carnival cruises I took. I also don't cruise at the cheapest time of year or 3 day cruises.

Total crapshow, by guests AND Carnival Security. what a bunch of useless pathetic "men"
-
Sorry about the disappointing cruise, hope you both feel better soon. Thanks for the report.
I second that

... Plus your room is ready when you board and you don't have to go to the counters and get your cards.
Worth it right there for me, that and the Guest Services line

We would chose the Epic. Have sailed on the Epic 3 times and would go again without thinking twice. We have not sailed on the Breeze, but have sailed on Dream 2 times and the Magic. The shows on the Epic are far better than any Carnival ship. In our opinion, the food is a little better on NCL and there are more dining options. We love O'Sheehan's 24 hour pub (burgers, wings, etc), where Carnival only has 24 hour pizza. The bathroom configuration has never been a problem for us.
+ much much better passenger flow. Too many bottlenecks on Breeze.
I would said the breeze again but it would have to be a good chunk cheaper than the Epic.

Leaving from Port Canaveral. Which would you pick?
Epic
-
Its a good ship. Not my favorite but I would sail it again. Plenty do do for all ages.
-
What excursions would you recommend? Do you book with Carnival or independent tour companies?
Ocho Rios absolutely through the ship. The people there are the worst imho when it come sto being pushy and trying to scam you. They will also call your obviously pregnant wife a racist if she doesn't want to buy weed. Because its obviously racist for a very pregnant woman to not smoke weed. Well the last time we went we fund that out lol You can tell I almost Detest Ocho Rios. I have a friend that lives not far from there so next cruise she is picking me up and we are going to hang with her.
Grand Cayman I book private with reputable companies, small enough t make it back in time.
Cozumel I bool private as well. Its small and traffic flows well even if there are 6 ships in port. No problems getting back

Always good to hear about an awesome time.
-
I am glad you found the experience acceptable. I have cruises out of Miami more than a dozen times and consider them a below average embarkation port. Not getting on the ship until 1:30 would be a definite negative to me.
Sometimes USCG, Customs, and or the FDA can hold it up.
-
I depends. My last cruise I wil say no but the experience, like most things Carnival, heavily depends on the ship and the management onboard while you sail.
The priority line on the Sensation was a joke, I actually got out and went in the regular line for faster service on a few occasions as did others.
Disembarking was a pathetic joke as well. They let off about a quarter of the ship before they noticed the Diamond/ Plat and FTTF lounges were still sitting waiting to be called.
Its good for tender ports if you want to be up early and off the first tender.
Its good for getting on early and having your room ready though if you show up at 1:30 you will go right on and to your room as well.
-
It has everything to do with the $$$$, not because of a widespread problem.
Probably as every other cruise line has no limits on their packages. Maybe Carnival passengers drink more than other lines? Or other lines can afford to have no limits. Possibly both lol

I must be the only one that thought HMC was "meh". Its prettier and nicer than Amber Cove but still, either port is not a deal keeper for me. Then again I am spoiled and can get to Bimini via jet ski when the weather is good.
Canceled cruise Should I use FCC for April 12?

Good thing is with such large numbers, the fatality percentage rate numbers will plummet and morons will stop panicking and destroying their economies
