I not long finished a cruise on the Breeze. on arrival in Miami it took forever to process everyone through customs. I finally got off the ship at 11.30.

 

can you imagine if everyone had ignored Carnival and turned up at 10.30am to get on the ship? it would have been mayhem in the terminal.

 

and the OP - being a fool and not thinking things like this through - would have been right in the middle of it and posting about how Carnival need to get their embarkation times right and that they need to tell everyone to get there between 1pm and 4pm....

I have done Getaway and Breeze.

Breeze was nice but its not really comparable to the NCL Getaway. I would do Getaway again if price and itinerary were the same. Actually I would do GEtaway even if it were a little more than Breeze.

Escape surely must be at least as good as the Getaway.

One of my best cruises of any line was a 4 day on the Imagination.

How were the shows? The pre 2.0 shows on the Liberty were very good quality but I found the new 2.0 shows to be quite poor.

Did you get to check any of them out? If so how were they?

How many NCL cruises have you been on as your signatures doesn't list any? I hear many folks say the same of Carnival and they either never sailed them or only had one cruise on them. Just wondering what ship you were on that was that bad? You seem to really dislike NCL a good deal.

Then why are you on the Carnival board? :confused:

Princess had it for $25. I am surprised Carnival still couldnt get a profit from the same cut at even $10 more.

The Getaway is definitely forth $200 more per person. I sailed the Liberty which is basically same as the Glory and I have sailed the Getaway.

The Getaway is definitely a better ship IMHO but would still have fun on the Glory.

It's only about a $300 difference. However, I fully expect the Magic to have price drops, we have never not had them on any CCL cruise before. The Breeze dropped almost $900 before final payment.

 

NCL the cruise has skyrocketed over $1100 for the same cabin and cruise. so price drops are less likely.

My last NCL cruise price skyrocketed for a while then dropped back down considerably. Ended up with a balcony on the Getaway for less than $500 pp

I'd cancel and go on the Oasis or Allure. My then teens had more fun on them, then any other ship.

With teens those are a better option for sure. Heck even NCL Getaway for that matter.

I would go with the best deal regardless of line- none of the loyalty programs are that great.

Maybe I am just paranoid but I always give my room a good looking over as soon as I arrive.

I usually inspect the sheets and bathroom. I never really thought to look under the bed until I needed my dive bag after it was far back.

We got an offer in the mail over the weekend for one of the San Juan 10 or 11 night cruises. Inside cabin 150 with 150 OBC. Booked it yesterday! Total with port charges was only 390 for 2 people and we get 150 of that back! Never thought I'd see one of those since we don't really gamble much.

Can't wait!

My parents got a free cruise a while back and they are not gamblers. Was nice because they had to cancel their cruise on the Breeze with us before that

They do. I have found a ton of old sticky candy wrappers under my bed on my last Carnival cruise. They were laying next to a plastic bag of sheets.

The good news is, it is still showing on other cruise websites, and shows open for booking. A quick check with Mr. Google doesn't indicate a charter at this point.:D:D

Nov 29 Splendor out of Miami. It had plenty of cabins yesterday.

Liberty Anytime Dining - were there tables for 2?

They are 2 inches away from the next table for two.

Not kidding. Dont matter to me though as we ended up next to two nice couples where we all sat in the same seats at the same time for nice dinner conversation. Our sevice was excellent.
