Oops Fort Lauderdale off the independence on Jan 17 th

We had a 10:30 flight from Liberty of Seas in Dec from Ft Lauderdale and had plenty of time. We carried our on luggage off ship and grabbed a taxi and we were at airport by 9am. Just realized you said International, we had a domestic flight

My husband and I both did the premium package on Liberty of Seas over Thanksgiving, so worth it and would do it again:)

we all loved it. We utilized trampoline park, kayaks, pedal boats, and water slides. Water was warm, but was rocky, but we mostly swam out to water park and it was deep so didn't even notice rocks. My kids range from 11-14. We did the all inclusive. If we were to do it again we would just pay for day pass. Food on buffet was nothing special. I would just pack water, eat a big breakfast and hope the kids do not get too hungry lol

So what did you do about the 'absent minded waiter'.....did you talk with the head waiter or Maitr D'?

Nothing, we just dealt with it and had a good laugh:cool:. It was both the head and ass waiter

Thanks for such a detailed post. As a new cruiser (on LOS 2 weeks today), it really has me provided me with great information and thank you for the time you put towards creating it. Forums such as this are such a valuable tool when researching a vacation.

 

One question that maybe someone can answer.....we are a family of 5 and all we want to do is 'hang out on the beach' for our day in Cozumel. I don't really want to pay the $95 / person for an all inclusive beach experience. I would be happy to pay as we go for any drinks/food we do consume which will not be anywhere near the $500 price tag for the outings posted on the cruise line or even the $250 for the place that was written about in this post (Nachi?). Are there any public beaches near the port that anyone can recommend? Or hotel beaches (not all inclusives)?

booked ourselves and took a cab over, it was $60 round trip for cab

we were on the same cruise with our 4 children ages 11-14, my niece and her friend. We had a great time and loved our balcony rooms. So much to do on the cruise. We had the premium package and it was great, next time I would upgrade to ultimate to get coffees. The kids all had soda packages. Shows were great, we never made it to ice show, didn't want to leave pool & sun. We had My time, but had dinner reservations every night at 6. Our only complaint was our waiter forgot so many things at dinner, the first night was 3 appetizers and then every night after that was at least 1. The last few 3 nights at bedtime were very bumpy, had to give my son dramamine at bedtime. Looking to book Indy next Thanksgiving. Any questions ask away

Just curious what time did you get to the port? It seems like I have been reading a lot of posts saying similar things aboard the liberty of the seas lately. I am a little worried we board on Saturday. I guess I should lower my expectations and hope for the best.:)

Hey Michael, great review. I'm just a little concerned about the Liberty on NYE. We booked the Enchantment first but then we switched over to the Liberty. Oh well.

Thanks everyone. it stinks because it is the only flight flying into Providence that day via Jet Blue, which we have a $800 credit with. Guess we will just have to fly into Boston

No, that flight is not possible at all, even if you are the very first person walking off the ship carrying your own baggage.

 

The terminal that Liberty uses is not very efficient, and backups getting off the ship are a common complaint.

Liberty of Seas over Thanksgiving says is gets back to port at 7am (is that normally accurate?) and the flight from Ft Lauderdale leaves at 8:40:confused:

I would only worry about Quincera tour groups (not family groups where they travel with their own families, that's like what you'd find on any cruise, but the groups where 300-500 girls travel with a half dozen male chaperones)

My thoughts exactly! I don't iron. I don't pack carefully. I just cram it in and then send it once onboard. $20 in pressing isn't a big deal and saves my sanity. I was only curious if anybody knew if there was pricing for kids clothes.

We are on the Sept. 28th sailing on the Allure. My DW is thinking about this excursion. Any one have any thoughts?

myself and 2 of my children did the swim in Feb and we loved it. A once in a life time thing. I do not think we would do it again just because it is costly, but no regrets that we did it. My husband and 2 of our other children did the encounter loved it

Check the cost of: the excursion, a day room, or paying the fee for an earlier flight. Pick the cheapest!

 

An 8:30 pm flight will give you 13 hours to "kill"...that's a killer!

there is only 1 flight to providence that day thru jet blue. Waiting on southwest wanna get a away flights to open

we are still so undecided. We could also take a flight out of orlando, but it leaves at 12:45 and I think it would be cutting it way too close:confused:
