Hello, we are planning on booking Symphony and taking our adult kids. we will have a balcony cabin (looking at 10140) and the kids an interior. Tying to work out what interior is closest to 10140. Can anyone help with the layout of deck 10 forward, are the interior cabins accessed from a different corridor or do some Interior doors face the balcony cabins (hope that makes sense) I have looked on deck plans and you tube and can see the inside of the rooms but cant see the corridor leading to them......

The red dots show available cabins, any advise on what is closest to 10140 would be great, thanks all

Those available in the image are not PREMIUM DELUXE balconies.

Christy needs to make sure she has selected the PREMIUM DELUXE category.

    it will show GTY.

If she acts like there will be three or more passengers, she will see that some of those are still available.  As mentioned above.

Thank you for taking the time to explain, appreciate it 🙂

You don’t say how far out this is?

Normally, you can select the cabin, unless:  It’s already sold out or if you’re closer in, say, just after final payment, they could be working upgrades.  Many variables.

Or, if you are just before final payment, you might wait till after final payment and recheck, in case there were cancellations in your category and you can then secure a cabin you want.

Aft balconies are very popular.  I have been able to pick mine every time, except once, I did a guarantee.  It worked out great.  YMMV

Thanks, I am looking at November 2023 on Caribbean Princess. I have checked multiple dates and guarantee is the only option showing across all categories I have looked at which I find really odd

  4. Hello, after many cruises but none with Princess we fancy giving the line a try. My issue is every cruise I look at I do not have an option to choose my own cabin, the only option is Guarantee. Is this normal?  Our cabin is important to us (we love an aft) so not willing to settle for a guarantee. Any /all info appreciated

    Thanks

  5. Thanks folks appreciate the replies.  This was booked last minute as the dates worked after Covid cancelled our Jan trip so I hadn't really investigated the ship and assumed it was a lit like Escape.

The observation deck is stunning, just wish you could access outside for best of both worlds.

    Will check out Onda, thanks!

  6. Hi

We have cruised Escape a couple of times and really like the ship. Often spent the morning on deck front at the ship and afternoon aft  Currently on Encore and struggling to find any outdoor spots for some sun worshipping that isn't pool deck!! ( which was packed on sea day with only 1700 passengers on board)

Am I missing any secret spots 😎? Seems like a severe lack of outside space compared to other ships with no outdoor access to the front of the ship and no loungers aft.

Any suggestions for a quiet spot with loungers?

Having a great time regardless 😌

When you Lift and Shift, you are transferred to a cabin of the same category.  There are some small exceptions to this general rule.

Currently there are 3 aft balcony cabins on Decks 7, 8, and 9 that are categorized as C1 cabins which are supposed to re-designated as SV cabins (deck plan below).  You will want one of these 9 cabins.  I typically advise people to stay away from Deck 9 though because it is directly beneath a public deck.

    Thank you, that's really helpful.

  8. Just received the following email..... so disappointed. Back to the drawing board!

    Dear Guest,

We are reaching out to provide an update on the status of your 2022 cruise vacation. Celebrity Cruises has been working closely with health and government authorities, in each country we sail from, to continuously evaluate our operational plans and ship itineraries. As a result, we will be suspending four Celebrity Eclipse sailings departing March 26, 2022 through April 16, 2022.

I'm also in the UK but I generally book through a US travel agent so that if any better deals come up I can get my fare re-priced.

It means I have to pay in US$ so can be affected by fluctuations in the exchange rate but overall I've found it to be well worth it.  I deal with my TA mostly through e-mail but they do have a UK 0800 number so if I need to call them it doesn't cost me anything.

I wasn't aware UK guests could book via a US travel agent, I would be happy to pay in USD for the benefit of fare re-pricing if offers change. Thanks for the info

Perhaps there is a slim chance that there will be some savings if and when “Wave Season” kicks in…usually January 1.

The keywords in the above sentiment are:

    Perhaps

    Slim

    If

    (and)

    Usually.

Thanks, I think we will wait till next week, as we now need to consider the uncertainty over ports allowing ships to dock and although we are happy to say on board having visited the ports previously our friends are keen to see new places. Fun times!

  11. Thanks for feedback, its really helpful. Just frustrating as prices increased by over £600 overnight for a veranda cabin the week before Christmas and I had hoped the price may come back down

@Jim_iain- that makes sense. We are in the UK so unfortunately I don't think the best offer guarantee up till 2 days before applies to us.

  12. Hello,

This is our first Celebrity cruise having sailed other lines. We are booked on Reflection 1/12 and our friends have decided they may join us. I have been tracking prices and prices are now higher (Veranda cabin) than they were the week before Christmas. There appears to be plenty to available cabins, is it worth waiting to see if prices decrease. Do Celebrity normally discount with 2 weeks to go?

    Any advise welcome- thanks

  14. Hello from the UK,

We are trying our first celebrity cruise on Reflection on 12th Jan, having sailed other lines.  As we booked via the UK site is it worth a call to see if the OBC can be applied? We are booked in SV which is sold out however a C1 is now a little less than what we paid,  Reading various threads I get the impression the UK pricing is pretty fixed and wont be changed after booking.

    Any advice welcome, thanks
