Booked DW for a 6 day on Spirit in August. Her DM and DS had booked this about a week prior for their Moms B’Day. She, my DW is going to surprise her Mom at the airport. All in, for 538 for single interior across the hall from their balcony. She is very excited to say the least.

I believe the markings, graffiti, on the the pier are from crew of ships that have visited. We saw this at Skagway on the rocks adjacent to the pier when we were there in 2019.

It is also now suggested by Carnival to keep a photo on your phone of vaccination card. We were never asked to see it, but not a bad idea.

Was on Magic April 3rd , unlimited drinks, no snacks. Lasted about 45 minutes.

Has this changed? We did this several years ago and did not require a passport
This was in June 2019.

You will need a passport if doing one of train or bus excursions in Skagway that go into Canada. There are some train excursions that do not cross into Canada, therefore no passport required.

We were on Horizon in Sept and ate dinner there one night. No reservations required. Walked in and were seated immediately.

Was there a charge for chairs/umbrella at Arashi beach? Also food/beverage and restroom available?
There is a restaurant and bar along with restrooms at Arashi Beach. We did order some food and it was good. This was just a stop for us and not the destination, so we did not ask about prices for chairs and umbrellas. They were available as well as palapa’s.

Thanks for the memories, Terab85. It was a pleasure, once again to cruise with you and Nick. Can’t wait to do it again.

One other note. We were on Deck 10 as well. There is a “secret deck” forward. There were no lights on at night and made star gazing very easy. It is windy, but so worth it

This was our 15th cruise on Carnival and overall. I love taking pictures of sunrises and sunsets. The moon for the first few days were awesome. Don’t think I’ve sailed with a full moon like that. Truly breathtaking and beautiful.

As the “friend”, I’ll chime in from time to time to keep things straight. To start, we started the cruise on 9/18, 8 day Southern to Aruba, Curaçao, LaRamona and Amber Cove. Missed Bonaire this trip.
Ok, back to the OP.

As long as it’s just the adults, no kids under 12. We were on the 9/18 Horizon and rented an SUV on Aruba and drove the island, stopping where we chose to. In Curaçao, we just walked into town. Stopped by Rif Fort and crossed the floating bridge. No masks necessary outside, but needed in shops. Had a great time.

In short, yes. That’s what I did a week ago.

Well.. I don't live that close. Wish I did. We live just south of Atlanta had HAD planned (with Covid pre cruise testing reservations made last week too leave the NEXT day, allowing us to drive half way, then drive the second day (my wife does not see well for night driving but I guess she'll just have to creep along the Interstate 30-35 miles an hour. Makes me wonder how many other folks, who had planned to drive AFTER the original granted 72 hour window, will now have to rush to change their testing date AND try to drive pell-mell to make the departure port in time for departure. I guess we could cancel, but we've looked forwards to this cruise sooo I don't know what too do. My wife said she'd do the night driving as best she could.
Mac
Hey Mac,
We’re right there with you. Had made appointment with CVS this morning and had to cancel and will reschedule tomorrow. We’re on the Horizon 9/18.
We also live south of ATL on the I75 side. Guessing you’re in PTC or nearby.

12 pack of soda per person and 1 bottle of wine/ champagne per person 21 or older.

My DW sent her renewal passport in April. She got it back on Aug. 18th. It definitely does take longer than before.

What kind of test do you need. Rapid antigen or Rapid PCR? My state offers free testing for both with results in less than 24 hours via email.
PCR is more accurate and less likely to throw out a false positive.
Hank -
It says either. We’ll be doing the Antigen, “rapid” test for our 9/18 Horizon cruise.

This is not going to be fun. I have had mask requirements at resorts in Mexico but all of their entertainment is outside. You just put it on going into the restaurants and gift shops. The ship is mostly indoors. Crazy. I'll be using the outdoor areas a lot if this is the deal.
Not sure they’ll move Alchemy out there for you. But you never know in these unprecedented times.

I’ve gone down and got a full breakfast of omelets, bacon, toast etc and brought it back up to the cabin to have on the balcony
How about that. A simple solution. That’s what I do every morning for she whom must be obeyed.

My condolences on LaRomana.
Been there once. That was enough. Ship day for us.

I feel y’all. Our 9/18 Horizon ABC cruise dropped Bonaire and added LaRamona and Amber Cove. Not ideal IMO.

Bring tent to Grand Turk
in Carnival Cruise Lines

We did this in April 2022 for 1 yr old GS. It was one of the triangular shade tents. We set up by the pool on the fake grass. It worked ok, but you need to watch the wind. Good luck.
