Oh, one more ? Are they they large bottles or the smaller regular size waters? I drink a lot of water and since you can't bring it on anymore, I might need to pre order.

Okay, I know someone will say the tap water is fine...I won't drink it.

You can pre order both I believe.  The 12 pack is the smaller bottles and is less than $5. I do not know the price of larger bottles.

Bonaire was my favorite of the three. Curacao is nice but as stated above feels like a European town. I thought Aruba was very commercialized but the beaches are beautiful. Snorkeling in Bonaire is amazing. I recommend going over to Klein Bonaire to snorkel or take a snorkel cruise. Woodwind Bonaire is excellent and you can walk to their dive shop right down from the port. Arashi Beach and Baby Beach are my favorites in Aruba.

I whole heartily agree about Woodwind. We went with them 3 years ago and will again in 2021. Dee and her crew are excellent and professional. The snorkeling is excellent in Bonaire. Plenty to see.

I recently booked a room for 3 -- Wife, SIL, and myself.

I booked an extended balcony -- I'm hoping there will be enough room for the 3 of us to sit on the balcony as it's 50% deeper.

Anyone else book an extended balcony with 3 passengers in the cabin ?

We’ve had an extended balcony twice on Spirit class ships. There is plenty of room for three people. There are only 2 chairs though. You may ask room steward for another.
    Enjoy your cruise

  4. I would be happy to share as best I can. First off, your son is going to love this trip. The scenery is breathtaking. He will no doubt take hundreds, if not thousands of pictures. Extra batteries and SD cards are very helpful. He can find more info in the Photography forums.

We did stay in Seattle before the cruise. Arrived from Atlanta at 11:00am Sunday, so basically had 2 days to explore. We stayed at the Country Inn and Suites near the airport. Hotel was great. Used the hotel shuttle to and from airport to catch the light rail to Seattle Center. We visited Pike Market, Space Needle and Chilhully Gardens. Think glass sculptures. Very photogenic as well. On Monday we did a Harbor cruise through the Ballard locks to Lake Union. Seattle is beautiful and plenty to do.

For our excursions, we did the Glacier Exploer small boat excursion to Tracy Arm Fjord. This was booked through Carnival. Spendy, but so worth it. In Skagway, we booked with Chilkoot Charters and went up to Carcross and took the train back from Fraser to Skagway. Long day. Beautiful scenery again. We did not do an excursion in Juneau, just walked around the port area. In Ketchikan, we booked a floatplane tour with Island Wings. This was a surprise 25th anniversary gift to my DW. She knew nothing about it till I told her to get in van.  It was an awesome flight and again, spendy, but worth it. Misty Fjord National Monument was breathtaking and majestic.

We walked around Victoria, BC. There is a lot to do there as well but we were spent. Ship was great. We were on the Legend. I believe you’ll be on the Miracle. They’re sister ships, so layout is very similar. I hope this helps. Alaska is beautiful and should be seen.

  5. DW and I went in June of this year. Our first Alaskan cruise. It is much more relaxed than a Caribbean cruise because the cruise is all about the scenery. I personally did not partake as much because I didn’t want to miss a photo opportunity. Not to say I was a tea totatler. SP.

The nightlife is much more subdued because it is port intensive. Get in to port early and then off on an excursion. We were in bed way earlier compared to other cruises. Hope this helps.

Love your report. We ae leaving on the Legend this Tuesday. I was wondering if the Port Valet service in Seattle was available on your cruise, and did you use it. Thanks

We used the Port Valet when we debarked on 6/11 from the Legend. It worked very smoothly. After turning in the form to guest services, we received our luggage tags and boarding passes on Monday morning. Any luggage fees you may have are deducted from your sail and sign account. Be sure to leave enough in there to account for the fee. We don’t fly much, so we were nervous about all of it. We were very happy with the result. Luggage was in Atlanta when we landed.

  7. We went in early June this year. We packed for cold weather, but it did not get to cold. It was upper 50’s to lower 60’s in Juneau and Ketchikan. It was a little warmer in Skagway. As everyone says, think layers and be prepared for wet weather. In Juneau and Ketchikan, we had some misty to light rain. We both had rain jackets.

In regards to the hotel, we stayed at the Country Inn and Suites by the airport. Great location, rooms, service and breakfast. Would highly recommend. We used their shuttle to get to the airport light rail train to get downtown for sightseeing. We used Seattle Express to get to the port.

  8. I second the floatplane tour with Island Wings with Michelle. We just got back last week and this was the highlight of our cruise. I was able to surprise DW with it for our 25th anniversary. Michelle is a consummate professional dedicated to the safety of her guests. Her passion for flying and sharing the incredible beauty of Misty Fjords was a joy to be part of.
