Loved your pics and review! We board the Coral on Aug 9 for 2 weeks and your info is really appreciated.

The best way to start a day on a cruise;);)
Oh, absolutely love it!!!!
-
We have done the IC, horizon court or pizza. Never have tried the DR. Too busy with unpacking and looking around to sit and wait. Everybody is different I guess!!
-
Priority tender tickets have never been in our cabin. The letter from the Captains Circle person usually just had us go to the embarkation area with our black cards out to show when getting on the tender. We have booked as one cruise and got extra mini bar setups each turn around day. It surprised us the first time as we figured we would only get the one! We have not removed any items from the bathroom but reminded the steward we were staying!! No problems YET!!

See post#6. Call them.
Thanks for the reply! I missed your post Pia. I will definitely call Princess.
-
I'm recommend contacting Princess, too. I noticed that I can't add two cruises with the same itinerary but different dates to saved cruises. If one is already there and I add the second one, both saved cruises change to the second one. It's not a big deal to me which is why I haven't contacted them, but something is definitely wrong with the Saved Cruises right now.
Same thing happens to me! Wanted to keep track of the Caribbean for Feb 7th and 14th. Won't let me add the two cruiises.

Holy Cow! That is impressive!
I've never seen mine show up in less than a week since Princess switched the handling of Shareholder OBC requests to Booking Support.
Here's hoping we all get that kind of faster response time!
We faxed it yesterday pm and it showed up this am for both B2B cruises for Aug. This is the fastest response time we have ever had!!

Used my Kindle Fire with ships' wifi with no problems. First time I had some difficulty logging off but a quick trip down to speak with the wifi manager pointed me in the right direction. Down loading from Amazon will be slower on the ship but can be done, esp if you are looking for a great new book to read!!!

Really enjoyed your review of the Coral and glad you enjoyed Alaska! We are awaiting Aug 9th for our turn!

I would agree with a carafe being excessive! We usually have a couple of coffee cards with us each time we cruise. Sometimes it is one from a prior cruise and one new one. When we order brewed coffee we put 2 cards on the table for the server to do what he/she wants with the punching. After a few days on the ship they know us and never ask for the card nor do they ever punch the older card for 2 brewed. I leave it up to the server to figure out what they want to do with cost and punches.

Thanks to the OP here is a link to the review I did back in February (I believe). Please don't comment on that thread as it is now back on page 40 or 50 or something, where outdated reviews belong. Should you post on it then that would bring it back to page 1. I believe page 1 should be for what is current not something 5 or 6 months old.
But there are photos so view away and I hope you enjoy it. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1977367
Thanks OP and I can't wait to see your photos and bring back some memories.
Thanks! Got the photos of Coral saved to our Favorites and we will go back to look at the pics soon!!

I am loving this review! Thanks again for the great pics and info.

We like a table for two, esp. if we have plans and need to get out of DR more quickly. We have had a few people working there try to talk us into a larger table by telling us there was no wait if we shared but we stuck to our plan and the wait was under 5 mins. for a two-top! So that's not a legitimate argument from them. We are always polite but firm and get what we want!
-
This happens across different cruise lines. On a previous Royal Caribbean cruise I went back to my cabin to retrieve my E-Reader only to find that my cabin door was open, no cabin attendant in sight (he went to the supply cabinet to get something) and a couple (strangers) walking around our cabin and balcony. When I questioned them they told me they just wanted to see what a Jr. Suite looked like and gave me an attitude when I asked them to leave.
Later on I politely ask the cabin attendant that if he needed to leave to please close my door and then I told him why. He apologized and as far as I know he never let it happen again.
That is totally unacceptable. Passenger services and security and the supervisor of the room steward would have heard about it pronto from us!!
-
Exactly. There is a safe right in the room for anything you don't want to take a chance on losing. Other than that, if they really want my clothes, so be it. These guys and gals have a limited amount of time to get their job done and anything reasonable to help speed up the process is ok with me.
Agree. Just lock up valuables and that's all you can do!

I've been having a problem for over a week when I click on a saved cruise and "update Price". As soon as I do, it goes to a different screen from before and when I click on itinerary, I get an error message saying it can't find the itinerary. I have already booked my cruise and I put the same cruise in "Saved Cruises" so I can monitor the pricing. If I hunt for my cruisetour, I can find everything I need but it's so much easier to go through the saved cruise.
Yes the same thing with our saved cruises page. I keep track of our cruises for any price changes. We have 2 cruises saved. One for Feb 7 and one for Feb 14. The web site wont save both dates! Either the 7th or the 14th can be saved but not both. Weird.

Thoroughly loving the review and the pics of the Coral We are boarding on Aug 9th for a B2B and these pics and review are what we were looking for now!!! Thanks for taking the time to post.

This new charge is going to be announced, they have had all the Regal room service paper work amended to show the $3 charge so it's just a matter of when they announce it.
I'm happy to pay extra as and when I use room service etc like cover fees for other venues, as long as I know what's complimentary/not when I book, amending benefits after people have booked stinks.
Yes I agree. They did not inform cruisers properly of the charges. Just springing those charges on people after the cruise began was stupid.
-
Thanks for the Live reporting from the Coral! I will read carefully as we board for a B2B on Aug 9th. Looking forward to seeing Alaska again and re- aquainting ourselves with the beautiful Coral Princess! Enjoy your cruise.

We have P505 in Aug on the Coral and P310 next Feb on the Caribbean Princess. Will be looking for more info too. Been on Plaza deck numerous times on many different ships with only P205 on the Emerald being noisy from the thrusters when docking or leaving a port.
-
Usually there is a scale in the gym, at least the ships we have been on.
-
Wow! New pillows and bed linens! Great news. We are booked for +17 days on the Caribbean in Feb and glad to hear bedding was replaced!
-
same for us on the 2 Emerald B2B's last Feb. After a few days the IC servers knew us and would have the coffees going for us without even asking! No problems on either leg about ordering the brewed on the same card.

I did not use the Shower gel or shampoo. I bring my own shampoo and used the bar soap in the shower. We never needed to ask for it. I will probably start bringing my own soap. I have not been happy with the soap when taking a shower.
That's pretty much what we do too. Except we bring a bottle of liquid hand soap for hand washing and then leave it when we disembark. I also have a small bottle of body wash that I like to shower with. Dont like their products at all.

Hey! Never thought of bringing blankets back to use on the balcony or the other movie venues during the cruise! Thanks! Great idea. Will do in Aug on the Coral!
