  1. So there is a $35 package? Is that for the week? Does it give access to all sites? I saw there's an internet plan for $16/day. If it's $35/week that seems like a no brainier.

Also, for the social media plan...can you just use the apps to access each service? Or do you need to log in via your phone browser. No one in my family remembers any of their passwords. They log in via the apps which have the password already loaded. So will need to get all those figured out before we leave if it's via the browser. Thx.

  2. Headed to PC on Friday for a Sat departure and was planning to stay in one of the partner hotels that offer the 40% off port parking. But how do I get the discount? Do they give you a voucher to present at the port or do you show a copy of a checkout receipt or what? Just want to make sure I don't screw up on getting the discount. Thx.

  3. We are going next week. Can't give you definite answers since I haven't been but I read a review that said the AI drinks are poured from a pitcher and not made to order. And the food is a buffet vs ordering from the menu. We decided not to do the AI and just order drinks and get a la carte food.

Hopefully someone with 1st hand exp will answer.

  5. We are headed there next week and have booked a dive with Coconut Tree Divers. Haven't used them before but the communication so far has been great. And they get top notch reviews on TA. They are in West End.

  6. Can't remember the exact hours but I think it was generally open 9-5. It wasn't open at night. But it was closed quite a bit on our cruise due to wind. Obviously on the ocean you get a decent breeze (especially on the breeze [emoji6]) and it was closed several times. When it was open the lines weren't bad. Think the longest wait we had was about 10 mins. They let people go one right after the other you just have to get the harness on which takes a minute. Think the lines got shorter toward the end of the week when people had done it enough. We didn't find it difficult at all. My 7yo flew through it with no problem.

  7. Hello fellow cruisers! Does anyone have a sample of recent FunTimes for the Western Caribbean Itinerary on the Valor? Sailing on March 19th and would like some pre-cruise info to get me through the next 9 days!!! In addition, can anyone comment on the current band onboard? We love watching live music and I'm hoping they are good. Thanks for any info you can provide and happy cruising to all!

We're on that sailing as well. Can't wait!

  8. They dropped us at a beach club adjacent to Blue Cay though we could see the sign clearly. Senor Frogs no longer there.

Do you know what the name of the beach club was? Headed there soon and just want to make sure we get to the correct place if we take a cab. Thx.

  9. 2 Questions.

Can you get the social media plan on the Valor? I think it's $5 per day and $25/for a 7 day? Can anyone confirm?

If so, can you use F B messenger?

Trying to find a way to be able to text one another on the ship. We were on the breeze last year and could do it thru the Carnival Hub app. But I dont think the Valor supports that app.

    Thx

  10. We had 5 in a cab 2 years ago. Same price.

I'm interested to see what you find out on snorkel.

I am also looking at the snorkel and playa mia excursion. But it gets back right b4 sail away.

    Thanks.

Haven't found any good solutions yet. We go next week so I will report back if we find anything there if that will help you.

  11. Wow, they are a few dollars cheaper, for our party of 12, that saves some money~ thanks for sharing.

Do you know if you buy through Shore Excursioneer, do you get electronic tickets or do you have to go pick tickets up before going to Playa Mia?

    T

Glad it helped. I got an e-ticket via email that shows my deposit and balance due. It says to take the ticket to the beach club entrance at Playa Mia to pay the balance.

  12. Just curious. If I'm booked in my room with kids and my wife in another room with kids, can we all still board together if I just buy FTTF for my cabin since we are 1 family? I know that only my room and luggage would be ready. Just wondering about embarkation priority.

If so does that also apply to tenders?

  13. Also, we were planning to take a cab to Playa Mia from the port. I've read its $20 for 4 people each way. We have 5 in our family. Anyone know if it will just be the $20 or will they charge extra for my youngest? Guess we might have to find a van.

  14. Thanks for the input. We were planning to do the Playa Mia day pass. Actually found it a few $ cheaper with shoreexcursioneer ($27pp vs $30 and only a deposit needed rather than full payment). We could just bring snorkeling gear but from what I've read there is no good snorkeling off the beach at Playa Mia. Typically the nice sandy beaches don't offer good snorkeling in Cozumel from what I understand.

Money bar looks nice but we will be traveling with kids and I'd rather not have to pick up and move all of us and get a cab to Playa Mia after snorkeling.

At a lot of beaches in the Caribbean we've been to have guys with boats that can run you out to a reef for 30-45 mins. Thats what I was hoping for. So we can keep our spot and those who want to snorkel can. Just wondering if that was available.

  15. It's two bottles per cabin not one per person. I usually take two bottles of champagne and order a few bottles of wine for the cabin..

So is this true? I'm doubtful. My wife and I are staying in different cabins on an upcoming cruise (due to kids). This would mean that we could bring on 4 bottles. 2 in her cabin 2 in mine.

  16. Was wondering if there were any operators on the beach at playa Mia that will take you out for a short snorkel. Playa Mia offers a snorkeling combo tour that gets you from the pier, but it starts late morning and so only allows about 1.5 hours at playa Mia. We would prefer to get started earlier and have more time at playa Mia. Thx.
