Thirty-one has thermal bags that are supposed to hold water (melting ice). You could look into those.

We've cruised with our Belkin strip from day one. Not one security officer has given it so much as a second look.
-
Of your first two options, I would choose RCL over NCL. I found the overall atmosphere as well as the service to be higher with Royal.

I've always designed and purchased "car magnets" through Vistaprint. I always personalize it with our names and have never had one go missing.

BLAINE - Your school's email service is refusing my attempts to share the spreadsheet with you. If you have a different email address/provider, please try again with that address.

The bus left the ship just before 9am, arrived in Paris around 11.30 a.m., then departed at 4 p.m.

I would contend that "sorry" does not stand on its own. What exactly would I be sorry about?
Enjoy your cruise.
You should both be sorry for hijacking this thread. Let it go already.
firstmate, here are some of the magnets I've made for our cruises. We've always received positive comments about them while on the ship, and they're great reminders for us after we return home.

Gift cards to be used as OBC.

The only thing I'll add is that you will only have seating for two, but your kiddos probably won't mind standing. ;)

A longer coat for Glacier Bay. My coat was warm enough, where it covered; it stopped at my hips. My jeans alone were not enough to keep my upper legs warm while out on the viewing decks.

I don't decorate the whole door, but I always create a custom magnet online through Vista Print. They are roughly 20 x 25 cm in size, and you can use one of their layouts or create your own.

No need to pick one over the other; they now make compression packing cubes!

Agent took my picture, but had a difficult time getting my fingerprints, sometimes to press hard and other time to press easier--I think it was a bad machine.
Did they actually get a good scan of your prints? They weren't able to get a full set on me after 8 ATTEMPTS, so I'm worried I may not get approved. DH's approval letter arrived this week, but my application is still processing.

You do not need to fill out a form just for the walker. However, it is always good to let Special Needs know of her situation. This will get you a more comfortable location for muster drill. Also, let your room steward know; he/she will be her help in the event of an emergency.
As for the shower chair, Essiesmom is correct. There is not sufficient room in a standard shower to use a chair. The accessible bathroom is more like a wet room -- the shower is merely a large curtained section of the room with a drain in the floor. Very easy access and plenty of room for the chair.

The biggest differences with HA rooms are floor space, no step up to enter the bathroom, and a larger shower. If you are confident she can manage without these things, then stay where you are. The cruise line does not care as long as you do not leave the walker in the hall and do not expect them to provide personal assistance in the cabin.
Enjoy your cruise!

Our only consideration is the smoking areas; we prefer to be far away from them. On our upcoming cruise, that means we are port side.
-
We are due to travel in eight weeks. Right now, we are comfortable in continuing as planned. If things were to escalate, we would re-evaluate at that time. Of course, we purchased cancellation insurance, so finances aren't a consideration for us.
-
I've experienced what you are describing. My suggestion is to go to Trip Advisor dot com, enter the port city and look for Things To Do. There will be many options, ranked based on potentially hundreds of reviews. Choose one and go for it. Then stop looking!
The only port where I've been disappointed is the one for which I did not do this.

We did a couples' massage last time after seeing the special advertised in the Compass for the last night of the cruise. After the discount, it was comparable in price to a high-end salon at home. Quality was great, and they were kind enough not to try to sell us anything.

There is a storm way out there. They are being very cautious.

If you look at the wind forecast on this site, there is supposed to be 150mph winds off the coast with the next 48 hours.

We have it booked on the U.S. site, so it is an option. Probably worth a call.

Assuming it would allow the reservation, you will forfeit the price protections we have in the U.S.

New age-in-place house, or staying put in our "starter home" and cruising often?

Is it possible to make some modest changes to make it more aging friendly? Create a main floor bedroom, a second floor laundry, etc. I know from experience that a stair lift between two floors will cost you less than realtor's fees!
