  1. I have not been Ina suite, so I can't speak to the comparison. I traveled with my 3 kids (13, 10, 8), so4 people total. We had 2 connecting balconies and thought it was awesome! 2 tvs, 2 full bathrooms, 2 balconies and more square footage. It also worked well the one day when my son was sick, so he and I could be more isolated and my girls could have a whole room to themselves. My husband does not like to cruise, and this was only our first one, so it's definitely a newbie opinion. But I like the extra room and privacy, the suites are nice but, to me, the way the extra space is configured, is not as helpful as 2 cabins

Wow ~ your newbie opinion as truly sparked something that I had not even considered. Thank you so much for your input, it looks like we'll keep our two connecting balconies.

  2. Help ~ trying to decide on a suite vs two connecting balconies for our family of four which consists of myself, hubby and two boys, ages 13 and 8. We currently have two connecting balconies on the breeze and we've stayed in both, a suite and balcony. The balcony was a little tight but worked just fine for us (maybe because the kids at the time were younger). The ocean suite was also nice and gave us plenty of room but since the boys are growing up we thought it would be nice for them to have their own cabin yet close to mom and dad. I still have some doubts about them having their own cabin although both boys are good boys and we've never had a problem with them going out on the balcony as long as they ask and let us know ~ I guess it's just worry mom syndrome. Both options are close in price, the suite is $130 cheaper and we have FTTF on both cabins so with the cost difference being so low the decision is harder. We also have FTTF so we could cancel one for a $60 savings on the suite. One other thing, we've always sailed with just the four of us but on this sailing there will be 22 so we might not spend a lot of time in our cabin with either option.

Your feedback might just spank something in my brain to make a choice.;) It also would greatly be appreciated!

  3. Yes please keep checking. FTTF was sold out for my Breeze sailing on August 21, 2016 but I kept checking daily and sometimes several times a day and one became available a couple of days ago and I grabbed it right away.

Also, I have a check-in time for 10:00-10:30 but the FTTF indicated a time 11:00-12:00 and I'm assuming this might be boarding time, can anyway explain this to me.

  4. Who mentioned free?

I have asked what is available and been offered an upsell but the rate was not good so I passed. There was nothing embarassing at all. To me it is no different than signing up for an excursion or a dinner; what is available and what does it cost.

I agree at first I thought I misread the question based on the replies. No one should ever feel embarrassed in asking a question even if it is a no, how will you ever know if you don't ask.

  5. I made reservations three weeks ago for my upcoming cruise 2/25/15 and I never received a confirmation email. When I called Carnival I was told the confirmation will be sent out a week before sailing so after checking yesterday and no email, I resubmitted my request and again nothing. I guess I will have to wait until I board the ship.

    Good luck!

  6. Get the last beach day in before flight home :)

Fort Lauderdale you can store your bags -- http://bagstogo.net/baggage_storage.php

They close at 5:30pm so be sure to be back at the airport to get your bags out

Get your beach stuff on, bring a beach bag with towel and get a taxi to "the strip" (los olas blvd) should be no more then $20 for the taxi.

The strip is basically one side is the beach, other side is bars, restaurants, shopping. Link below is a pic of the strip to give you an idea

You just solved my problem. I had no idea that had a place to store your bags at the airport. Thanks for that information.

  7. We had an OS on the Breeze (7242). We could not be seen from above, but you could look up to any of the balconies on at least decks 6 and 7 from deck 5. We were far enough up that people were not looking at us, but technically if they went right up against the glass on 5 they could see us I guess.

I was searching through the site for pictures of OS 7242 on the Breeze and was hoping you will be able to share with me if you have any. My email address is doll.banks@gmail.com.

    Thanks much!

  8. The "deal" is up on their site and it they pretty much eliminated military rates and almost doubled the first two passenger rates...

    Good deal RCCL, good deal.....

Thanks and after checking several dates, RCCL prices are just about the same as when I checked a few days ago for a quad, it's just like you said "almost doubled".

For those who might be interested NCL have some good rates for 1st and 2nd with kids sailing free.

  9. Thanks for the heads up.

Also, I just went on a did a mock booking for the Oasis and got a price, then did another mock booking for the same ship, same date, same room, and the price went up. It's starting to not look like such a "good" deal after all. It will also tell you that the interior room for this date is $749, but when you get there...it's more like $900 for the room pp. :(

You're welcome! I guess it's like Merion_Mom said, the prices might be higher for the 1st and 2nd that it might not be worth it. I was waiting until midnight to check but I'll take a look now.

    Thanks for the information.
