  1. You obviously have not been to many places in the world. There are many countries where paying to use the loo is the norm and not the exception.

    DON

You are missing what I said. I have been all over the world, so do tell me what I have or have not done. I even mentioned that I have in fact paid for the use of a bathroom before. I brought this up because I have NEVER had to pay to use a bathroom in a cruise port. My question was is Los Cabo's a Princess cruise port or not. I wish people would READ and not just pick out certain things to complain about.

  2. I walked right past the shakedown woman and went to the bathroom, washed my hands and left. They ought to be happy that the ship even stops there now with all the violence going on in Mexico.

Glad to hear that because that is what my husband did. There were about 8 to 10 ladies right in front of the doors, so a little harder to walk past. He waited for one person to pay and as they let him pass, he went right in. They made a stink about it, but he said he wouldn't pay and they left him alone. I can't believe Princess allows this, since it obviously has been going on for awhile.

  3. We just came back from cruising on Ruby Princess. in Los Cabo's right off the tender dock you go through shops which has a bathroom. If you want to use it, even if only to wash your hands, there are people asking for money and not letting anyone through. I have been in other ports where we were asked to pay, but the area was not as nice as Los Cabos and it was more like a private bathroom while we were on a tour. Aren't these port shops built by cruise lines, or is Los Cabo's a private owned port?

  4. We were on the Ruby Princess last week and I had a glass of wine at Vines. While enjoying the wine a lady asked for a glass of wine and as she started to leave, they told her she had to drink her wine at Vines or transfer the wine to a different glass. Same went for the International Cafe with coffee cups. No leaving the area with a coffee cup. This was a first for me to see. Only thing I can think of is people really like the nice wine glasses and cups and keep them in there cabin for the cruise to use.

  5. I searched the forum, but found no information on this tour through Princess. Has any one taken this tour

PVR-545. ATV Adventure. Starts at 11:45 am

We are in port 10 to 8. I have checked with several other tours that do ATV, but the the tours start at 2 pm. I don't want to go that late in the afternoon. Would like to have time after wards to hang out on the Malecon and have a few drinks. We are experience drivers with our own ATV's and try to look for private ATV tours that will be more challenging for us. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you

  6. Does Princess offer the AIDP on a three day cruise once you get on the ship ? I can purchase in advance, but would like to use my OBC if I purchase on ship. Tried to search forum for 3 day cruise patters to see if it is listed on them, but couldn't find anything.

Also, we will have Club Dinning, but enjoy sitting with people. Are the table set up for only 2 people or do they also have larger tables? Thank you

  7. Thoughts....

    • do you want to see a rising sun or setting sun?
    • I prefer starboard for a Northbound trip..... you get to see more land leaving California and you get to see land first coming into the passage.
    • after those few hours leaving port and arriving at the passage... the ship cruises very far away from land. It's truly a "sea day". Some say cruise ships avoid land, especially around Astoria for calmer open waters away from the Columbia River.

    I booked starboard. :)
  8. I know this has been talked about, but can't seem to find the exact answer.

I used my points for the last cruise I took. I have points to use again on my up coming cruise. I am confused about the new statement credits. It says I have 48 number of days left to use 15,000 points and another 96 days to use 15,000 points.

When I click on it it says please note you can redeem only 1 time against a transaction. Are these points the same as the ones I have collected or are they extra points I can use? I thought we had 3 years to use our points?
