  1. Next month I, DW, DS and his girlfriend on the Dream. Yesterday he bought a DJI Phantom 3 Drone and is thinking about taking it on the trip. Of course he would not use it while on board but would like to use it while in ports. Not knowing the rules of these ports I am concerned that they might confiscate it and that is even IF Carnival would allow it on board. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about this?

Wondering if you did take your Drone and if you have any problems. We are planning on taking ours (also have a DJI Phantom 3)

  2. I did try to search the threads, but didn't get the correct answer I am looking for.

Flying into Miami planning on renting a car. Stay in FLL hotel one night and drop the car off before going to Port Everglades.

After cruise plan on renting a car from FLL staying one night in FLL hotel driving to Miami dropping the car off. My questions is:

What car rentals in FLL will take you to the port after you drop the car off and pick you up from the port to get your car?

  3. Made the same mistake as many with over packing first time cruising. (but with us getting married on the ship I didn't wanted not to forget anything) When we arrived at the airport the attendant that checked in our bags asked if we were moving. LOL We now pack a lot different. I'd rather pack less and do laundry on the ship if needed. We also don't pack a formal suit for my hubby. Instead we rent through the ship. Seems like a waist of money to some people, but we do enjoy dressing up for our traditional evening dinners and he looks so darn handsome. :)

  4. We were on the Pacific Princess last Nov. Table next to us four men wore baseball hats and sandals every night including formal nights in the main dinning room. Someone did ask them why they could not remove their hats during dinner and they said "we paid a ton of $$ on this cruise and we are going to dress as we like and if you don't like it then leave. How rude.

  5. No. This isn't a mistake. Since you haven't actually booked a cruise with the FCC, there's no real value yet. Once you book your cruise using your FCC, the actual OBC will be applied to your booking, up to $150.

Oops... Re-read your post and saw that you have already booked your cruise. Double check with Princess.

I already booked it and it says FCC on my booking>

  6. I booked a balcony for our next cruise. Had purchased FCC on last tri. Just noticed on my booking confirmation I only receive 30.00 on board credit instead of 50.00. Looked on my FCC confirmation deposit letter and the credit stated for outside is 30.00 and also 30.00 for balcony and suites. Is this a typo mistake or did the OBC change?

  7. My head is spinning trying to figure out how to plan 3 days in SF before we cruise out of LAX. I have read past posts, but still need your expert advise.

We will be flying into SFO 3 for three days. First day we plan to rent a car and head to Napa. 2nd day tour Napa and wineries. 3rd day stay at a hotel near SF airport. Fly from SF to LAX the next morning. Cruise departs 4pm.

    These are my questions.

    1. As I search tours I notice we can take a reasonable wine tour from SF (they pick you up at your hotel). This would save on car rental and being able to drink with out worrying about driving after visiting several wineries. What would you suggest? Renting a car and staying in Napa or a tour out of SF?

    2. We really want to visit Stags Leap Winery, because it is my favorite wine. What other wineries would you suggest?

    3. We would also like to visit the Redwoods, Wharf and Golden Gate Bridge if time allows.

How challenging is the drive from SF airport to Napa 2pm in the afternoon ?

How much is the toll crossing Golden Gate Bridge?

Other option is to fly out of Oakland to LAX. Don't want to fly into Oakland because of the 2 hr lay over in LAX.

    Thank you

  8. I have come to this board a lot to get information for our upcoming cruise in January.

A cruise friend is on the Pacific Princess for six b2b's in French Polynesia, and

she has a blog that I have gotten so much information from already. She is a regular poster to Cruise Critic, so I thought some of you might like to follow along.

    Here is the link:http://www.pescadoamarillo.blogspot.com/

Reading all their adventures makes me so excited for our own!

    Love reading this.

  9. For you insurance experts out there. I purchased Princess insurance for our upcoming trip. I used our frequent flyer miles to get from our state to LAX. I used Princess air from LAX to Tahiti. If for some reason my flight to LAX is interrupted does that mean Princess will not pay for any insurance if I miss my flight from LAX to Tahiti? If so, then I might consider cancelling Princess insurance and going on my own. Cruise is 3 weeks away, is that to short of time to get another insurance ?

  10. How far is the Delta sky club from Air Tahiti Nui terminal ? Wondering if it would be worth paying for a Delta day pass. We have a 6 hour lay over. Does the area where Air Tahiti Nui is have restaurants, shopping and a comfortable place to spend time while waiting for your flight? Thank you

  11. We will be traveling this Nov to Tahiti. My passport expires Jan 2015. I read somewhere you need a 3 month window traveling to Tahiti. Just wondering if this is true? If so I need to renew my passport.
