  1. Late afternoon St. Tropez. Dinner again in Atlantide. Rojaan had the teriyaki chicken and I the scallops with strawberrie, She once again went with the lobster and I had the cajun crusted tuna -a little dry. And the last of sunset.
  2. Some more views. Lunch at Spaccanopoli. I had the diavolo and Rojaan the porcini mushroom. They definitely are an improvent to previous voyages. I had a New Zealand pinot noir. Lacked body so I would ask for something different if served again. Probably the Chilean carminere. And some views after lunch. To keep a little fitness I did 18 laps of the deck 11 track.
  3. The next morning was a sleep in. We were anchored off St. Tropez. St. Tropez is for the beautiful and entitled people and I don't fit the description so we stayed onboard.. The views.
  4. And Atlantide's menu that night. A few changes. And by special request some food porn. But first the night's red wine. They also have the Syrah from this vineyard in Sonoma. I liked it. Rojaan had the mushroom and asparagus salad and I the scallops with artichoke vinaigrette. Then I had the tomato soup with meatballs. For mains we both had the very good Osso Buco and finished with some gelati.
  5. And now back on the moon with new flowers and good views.
  6. Naturally also a great highlight from the Sydney Olympics. And unusual in Modern France Louis 14th. And yet another church.
  7. Bicycles that had spent a bit too much time in the water. A display of Olympic highlights.
  8. More seafood. Dear lobsters. Fresh sardines. And eels.
  9. A long line of fish restaurants. And fishermen selling fresh fish.
  10. Our wander around Marseille close to the waterfront. Bathing pigeons.
  11. Sorry JP she was a really cold tart made of stone. Didn’t do anything for me so I let my camera wander off elsewhere.
  12. Well a little snippet from our butler tonight - Venetian Cocktail party so a formal night. It appears the butlers are in agreement with our comment that this segment is totally different to the last. They want to see more Venetian members embark in Citavecchia.
  13. The railway station -old and new. And Marseille's Arc de Triomphe. Roman ruins discovered when building a shopping centre. We were then let off the bus for free time at the shopping centre or just to wander. We just wandered.
  14. Now you may remember I mentioned a young English couple I met at Carcassonne. Well I turned around after taking the above picture and there they were. He was lining up a picture and noted he was aiming at a statue which featured a naked woman's derriere. So I said hello to his partner and told her to keep an eye on him and what he found interesting. So a little chat and alaugh but then I only just got back to our bus on time.
  15. Let off at a park celebrating the finish of a tunnel to deliver water to the city.
  16. A drive up narrow roads to a hilltop church/ fortress, Notre Dame de la Garde. Great views.
  17. Where lots of tourists go to see where a fictional character was imprisoned. The Count of Monte Christo.
