  1. A sense of Deja Vu. Did the Italians steal something from San Diego?
  2. Followed the old walls close to the main street.
  3. The next day we were in Citavecchia. We decided to stay on the ship on a changeover day. Thankfully all the children left. At 1100 I took the shuttle into town.
  4. Back to Atlantide and the days specials. Picked up a mistake in the menu. South Atlantic Islands even if they are owned by the French hardly qualify as Mediterranean. Now the wines. WE BOTH HAD THE SALMON CARPACCIO WHICH WAS EXCELLENT. For the next course I had the baked leek which was very nice. For mains I had the miso glazed cod which was beautifully cooked and Rojaan once again the lobster. Declined desserts again.
  5. Nicola is her name. But the Tiki didn't arrive in Citavecchia yesterday. Fortunately several acceptable alternatives. Assured there is enough of my Sake to last another month.
  6. Portofino was just too crowded when we got back there so I caught the first tender back to the ship. Back on th ship and the yachts were still going. Then up to the pizza place. I had a calzone and Rojaan again her porcini mushroom pizza.
  7. Yacht races. Now they told us we had to go by ferry as tour busses couldn't get into Portofino. Hmmmmm.
  8. A fellow now walked through the church saying -closed, closed and herded us outside.
  9. Although there were some nice apartments a few that I passed that were for rent were simply awful. Santa Margherita was far more crowded. Fortunately I was advised to go into the Cathedral first. Mass had just finished.
  10. They keep a bottle in Kaiseki for lunch so Rojaan can partake. The benefits of eating there nearly every lunch. They also kept a bottle of the dry sake I like when it was obvious that it would run out. So I didn’t miss a day before it was restocked in Livorno. Helped that the South African waiter is one of our favourites that we have cruised with before. She is delightful.
  11. Now of the ferry for our walk around Santa Margherita. As our guide, who was a little lady, was giving us the time and place for meeting a few young Italian men dressed in leather jackets aggressively pushed their way through the group shouting loudly. Our guide turned to them and loudly replied -F U too. Well done.
  12. Looks like a cable car ride to the seaside property.
