We just got home from Bermuda. We booked Timmie Mello recommended
by Mr. Fox. We had a wonderful day. We were able to see everything we
wanted plus more. Timmie even brought bread to feed the fish at the smallest drawbridge in Bermuda. He arranged for us to be on time to see
the dunking in St. Geroge, not to be missed. Our day was perfect. Our
tour was for six hours and the time flew by. Timmie also got us some
pink sand in a plastic bag which I now have in a vase in my home a lovely
reminder of Bermuda. He charged $40 per hour. His email is soniamello@logic.bm. If you contact him he will arrange to see everything that you desire. He is a lovely person and if you book with him I am sure
you will enjoy as we did.
-
And where did you find that information ?
I emailed Colin and he quoted his rates saying he is allowed to charge
a surcharge on advance bookings namely, $50 per hour instead of $40
Needless to say I did not book with him.
-
Collin Jennings or dennis Hollis??
Colin 50 an hour, Dennis 40 an hour.. Help!!
Collin Jennings charges a surcharge of $10 per hour when you book in advance with him I would go with Dennis

With many looking for information on specific cabins on Solstice I thought it might be good to have a form of sorts for everyone to post basic information on each cabin that is easily read and searchable.
Hopefully if future cruisers will cooperate we can eventually obtain information on most every cabin and possibly get it as a sticky. Below is the information that I have noticed many wanting to know about the cabins. Please add any pertinant information that I might have missed. I will add a post after this one with just the questions that you can "Reply To" and add your information without copying and editing this first post. I hope to eventually get the basic info in a table and will try to post that periodically within the thread.
Please name your post with the title "Cabin # xxxx" so that those searching for information on a specific cabin can locate those easier with the search this forum option by using the cabin number that they need info on.
After the questions please add any comments concerning location - close to elevators, far from specific venues, etc. Also, post links to your photos of specific cabins or attach photos to the post.

We have taken this cruise before going to all the same ports. Last time we took tours. This cruise we want to explore on our own. There is so much to see at every port of call. Your information in Villefranche was of great help to us. Last cruise I followed your trip step by step and it added to our enjoyment. The ports we love are Rome Naples Venice and Dubrovnik. Thanks again

Thank you so much for the information. Your pictures are great makes me want to go even more.

YES, we had a lovely day, for sunshine, temperature and company. You did very well with your good follow-up question. As I re-call, it was the number one bus that goes east (and back west, too) along the coastline from and returning to Villefranche. It is fairly easy to ride and do. As I re-call, it was one euro for the fare to ride. That same bus will take you into Nice in the other direction.
One important trick (or secret) thanks to wonderful Brigitte is that we got on this east-bound bus at the stop to the west of where you might normally board in the central town. That way we saw more of Villefranche and avoided boarding at a point where the bus was more full and had a larger crowd waiting to get on. This bus gave us a nice sampling of Monaco as we headed to Menton, had lunch there, seeing the coastal sights, etc.
Any other questions? Info or picture needs?
THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

Thank you for your quick reply. We are going to give it a try. We would like to see the Palace. Do you remember how difficult it was to get to the Palace from the bus. How long did you spend in both places? Was it an all day adventure? How far west did you walk to avoid the crowds getting on the bus. I have been reading Rick Steeves and he says to take the #100 bus. Could this perhaps be the bus you took? Many thanks

With the super wonderful Brigitte as our host, we went east via the local bus, learning lots about the area, seeing her Monaco, then to Menton. We super enjoyed her help and fun adventure for our group of four from Central Ohio.
THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio
In Monaco, which has been building and booming big time, they just completed the Grand Prix race here and we went by the scenic Casino with the gardens and fountains in front over top of a large parking garage. They are getting ready for the big wedding event with their ruling Prince.:
Menton is to the east of Monaco and right next to the Italy border. It is a charming seaside town without the crowds and congestion.:
Menton is known for its citrus products and here’s a example of those wonderful products.:
I am not sure if I am doing this correctly. We would like to know please what bus you took to Monaco and how you got to Menton. Sounds like a lovely day. How long did it take you? Would it be difficult to do without a guide? Thanks in advance for any information.

We did not enjoy this cabin. The soot was present at all times day and night. The balcony was cleaned in the morning but that was not enough. We did not like to sit on the chairs unless we had towels on them. The vibration was noticable when we were coming into port. We would not recommend this cabin even though it has a larger balcony than most. What is the point in a large balcony if it cannot be used. When sitting on the balcony the soot was falling on usDeck - 10

Elite free laundry wash-dry-fold

We were disappointed with both the laundry and the dry cleaning on the Eclipse, white undergarments were returned with a greyish color and the pressing on cotton shorts left a lot to be desired. I personally would not use the service again even when the service is free.
