  1. Has anyone heard if RCL is planning any big 2019 Tax Day cruise offers? A few years ago we received free taxes and port fees on our Anthem of the Seas sailing. Has anyone seen this kind of offer or any other deals the last couple of years?
  2. Do many people use the Viking Crown Lounge as a place to socialize in a quiet location? Are there times during the day or night when the ship plans activities here or is it more of a laid back space to go?
  3. Awesome. Thank you for the information. I will definitely try them out.
  4. We are getting ready to sail on the Freedom of the Seas out of San Juan in June. Does anyone who has sailed on the ship have any secret locations to share (hard to find places to see, quiet locations to relax, hidden hot tubs, good coffee/snack areas, etc.) This will be our 1st time on the ship. Thanks.
  5. We are thinking about renting a car while in San Juan for 3 days before our cruise on the Freedom of the Seas in June. Has anyone rented a car in PR? Will we have problems getting around the roads or finding free parking while exploring the beaches around the island? Thanks.
  6. Has anyone sailed on the Freedom of the seas cruise out of San Juan in the last month or so? If so what are the current shows and entertainment in the main thearter? Did they have a comedy show that wasn't at 1130 at night? What kinds of shows did the royal Caribbean singers and dancers perform? (Classic rock, country, etc)
  7. Thank you Host Clarea. I assume you meant early evening on Day 2 or Day 3. Has anyone else had actual experience with this on the Freedom of the seas cruise out of San Juan?
  8. So has anyone had a meet and greet on a 5 port day cruise. (ie. Freedom of the Seas) Does royal still schedule it for day 2 in the morning even if we are already in port? If not what other times might they schedule it for? Thanks
  9. We are on the Freedom of the Seas from San juan in June. We have our 1st port day at 8 am to 8 pm on Day 2. Does anyone know when they might do the meet and mingle on a cruise that has 5 port days in a row starting the 2nd day?
  10. We purchased the 3 Day Specialty Dining package for our upcoming Freedom of the Seas cruise in June. Can anyone tell us if we can make reservations in advance with this package or do we have to wait until we get on the ship to do so. We are worried that there will not be any time slots available if we have to wait. If we can do it in advance please explain how to do this. Do we have to call Royal Caribbean to do this? Thanks for the help.
  11. Thanks guys. Our room is on the 8th floor so it sounds like we should be in good shape with noise.
  12. Has anyone stayed in one of the inside prominade cabins on the Freedom of the seas or similar Royal ship? I was wondering if the noise from the promenade was loud at night and if so is it worse on deck 6 and 7 vs deck 8? Did you enjoy the location? Views?
  13. We are getting ready to sail on the Freedom of the Seas in June. We were wondering if we can buy the coffee card once we get on board the ship with our on board credit. Thanks for the help.
  14. My wife and I are going on the Freedom in June. It will be our 1st sailing out of San Juan. Was wondering if anyone has sailed on the ship recently and can give their opinion on the shows in the thearter. What were the shows? (Musicals, sing/dance, comedian, magician, play, etc.) Did you enjoy them? Also, we are staying in SJ for 3 days before the cruise at the Marriott near the port. Will it be easy to take an Uber to get to the good beaches, site seeing, airport, etc.? Thank you for the help and info.
  15. We just sailed on the Dawn July 10th and we decided to park outside of Boston and take the "T" subway in. It only cost $63 for the week to park and the Silver line bus dropped us right in front of the cruise terminal. Very easy. We did the same thing on the way out and was back to our car in 40 minutes.
