We do the same, I bought a wine stroller, it can hold up to 12 bottles, similar to this https://www.amazon.com/LEGACY-Insulated-12-Bottle-Integrated-Trolley/dp/B004RCE6BQ/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=wine+luggage+on+wheels&qid=1571669092&sr=8-2

Ours is a little flimsy, but it does the trick to carry on.  Then we just stop at the wine table, give them our cabin number, number or bottles, and they give us stickers for the bottles we paid.  They write it all down on a book and we get charged to our on board account. Super easy.

We used this trolley on our Star cruise last year. Worked great.

It depends on the cruise. I've heard not often offered on a 7 day cruise, but will be offered for longer cruises. Have also heard people complain that wines they wanted were not available. I know we've cruised (without a wine package) and wines we've seen on the menu and requested were not available.

I prefer to bring my own wine, and pay the corkage fee.

When we sail out California we drive to the ports and bring a case of wine onboard. We’re leaving on a 10 day out of NY this time so we dont plan on doing that.  In the past there was usually a table set up outside the buffet selling the wine package. I know the PBP includes some bottled wine discounts along with the per glass discount but were not getting that this time. When I board, I’ll head for the buffet and see what they have. I have been reading several complaints about the ship not having popular wines, so I’ll keep that in mind.

We got engaged at a Mothers of Invention concert. (Hah! Bet nobody can top that!) When we got married my wife-to-be handed me a note. I asked what it was and she said it was her vows. D'Oh! I had forgotten to write mine. (Hey, I was 19 and an idiot.) Somewhere there is a picture of me with a note and a glass of champagne in one hand and the other hand on my forehead going "D'Oh!". I had to ad lib my vows. Apparently they "worked" as we have been married for 47 years and counting. (I'm no longer 19 but probably still an idiot.)

You’re probably right Thrak, nobody can top that.

Yes, I’ve rebooked 3 times already from last August (from cruise to cruisetour, cruisetour to a different cruisetour, sip and sail to 3 for free promo) for my upcoming August Alaska cruise and I don’t have a TA. You can either call up your assigned cruise planner (mine has really limited hours) or just the regular help line and someone will assist you. It’s very easy. Just make sure the deposit is non-refundable. They can even keep your same cabin (they have to open two windows on the computer when they’re canceling the first one to make sure they get it immediately on the new booking) so don’t worry. That said, I wish I did have a TA because it sounds like a lot of people got some nice OBC or discounts from theirs. 🤔

Thanks SoS. I have an aft suite booked and don’t want to lose it, however, a sip and sail would be a great perk. From what I’ve read, June or thereabouts is a good time to look for it.

Refer to my answer, posting no. 15. Assuming you live in the U.S. or Canada then it works this way.

When a new and better promo comes along you contact your T.A. to have your booking changed to the new promo. You will receive the new fare and the new promo benefits, but lose the current fare and benefits you have. This can be done more than once. Note that some T.A.'s have a charge for making a change, mine does not. Basically you are cancelling the current booking and making a new one.

If you live in Europe, Australia or some other locations the process works differently.

‘If one used Princess to book and not a TA, can I call Princess to rebook if a promo that I like comes up?

  6. I recently booked 80 Francisco for 10 days in February online thru Parking Panda. I tried 55 Francisco online but couldn't book my dates. If I remember correctly, it was $16/day. I'm still considering Parking in Vallejo and taking the ferry to the city. PP is fully refundable, according to their website.

  7. We are fortunate that our TA provides free round trip bus transportation on selected sailings out of SF. We take advantage of it when we can. We don't like driving or paying for parking in the City either.

You must use Zoe's. I just found them, but too late for this booking. I may give them a call to see if we could " hitch a ride" for a fee.

  8. We always drive to Vallejo, park in the covered garage at the Vallejo Ferry Terminal ($20 for a monthly permit) and take the ferry to the SF Ferry Terminal. From there it's about a half mile walk to Pier 27. Easily the least stressful way to go. The ferry is about $13.50 per person round trip.

This sounds like a great option for us. Parking in SF isn't the problem. I'm kind of a country hick and I'd like to avoid driving in to the city if I can.;-) Thanks for the info.

  9. I have used 80 Francisco (the Panda reference above) many times. It is only $16 per day, but they now charge for 11 "calendar" days for a 10 day cruise, for a total of $176. Prepaid by credit card. The garage at 55 Francisco is $18 per day, and the site mentioned above (spothero ...) shows the 10 days in January to be a total of $230. Don't know where the $12 per day came from.

Thanks for the info on Parking Panda. I checked it out on Google Earth and it doesn't look covered. It's not a big deal, but I'm curious.
