  1. We just booked Unlimited Dining for our 4 night cruise on Navigator.

To clarify it seems the consensus is lunch is included on embarkation day at specialty restaurant or pay snack locations (Playmakers, Johnny Rockets)?

The original poster mentioned lunch at Sabor on a day docked at St. Martin.  Was that included?  We plan on staying on the ship in Nassau and wondering if we will be able to do a specialty lunch that day as well.

    Thanks!

Thought I would ask this as our community here is a wealth of knowledge...

We are doing a chartered cruise 2/17 on Navigator and following that up with a B2B on 2/21 (same room). We have done B2B before but never with a chartered cruise wondering if the process will be the same on 2/21. Does anyone have experience with this?

    Thanks in advance!

Just booked for 2/17. What is the charter?  Didn’t know anything about it.

  3. I plan to purchase the 3 night dining package.  We would not purchase for our two kids as they would be $10 per meal in specialty restaurants.

How would this work as far as reservations they make are concerned?  They would probably make for 2 ppl vs. 4.  Do we just change on board?

Also if we would like to reserve with members from another reservation, I would think that wouldn't be reflected in reservation with dining plan.

  4. For me I think if you are going to do a suite you have to go all the way and do star class. Then for the crazy prices at least you are getting all inclusive experience, with the royal genie taking care of every detail for you.

We've sailed in Haven on NCL and star class once. They were both amazing experiences. We had star class booked for an upcoming cruise but after considering the vast difference in price between booking 2 balcony cabins vs. what we were paying for suite it was just too much to justify it. We actually did a long weekend with our kids in Europe with the savings.

  5. It is a grand loft that we are booked in. Star class.

It's not meant to be a post to show off. I think I was looking for someone to talk me into the suite. At the end of the day we decided to go with 2 balconies. While we can afford it there are too many other ways to allocate and I can't justify $4000 for star class benefits.

  6. We are traveling as a family of 4 with two kids 8 & 10 and have a crown loft suite booked on Anthem for January. As far as rates go I think we got a fairly good price for the star class suite.

I made the mistake of pricing other room options and found that after accounting for dining and drink plans I can save approximately $4000 by switching to two adjoining balcony cabins.

Having experienced Star class before I am having an internal conflict if it is really worth $4000 for the experience and nicer room.

    Decisions Decisions....

  7. We have sailed both star class and in Haven. It's a different experience.

For sure the genie is a much more personalized experience. Our genie would coordinate events for us tours of ship etc, stop by or call to get our breakfast order, save seats in shows for us. She personally escorted us off the ship at stops and when we embarked/disembarked Both would leave treats but the Genie asked for feedback and was more thoughtful in what was brought. We saw our genie much more. We still talk about our genie Susan 2 years later. Couldn't tell you name of butler from NCL cruise. (Don't even think we knew that well while on the ship)

We preferred the Haven restaurant to the one on NCL.

The pool in Haven was really nice and missing in our suite experience on RC
