That is a good choice. The building is a historic, restored boutique hotel. Attached to the lobby is a beautiful glass museum, part of the Chrysler Museum. If you’re looking for a great breakfast or lunch spot try The Stockpot very close by. Fresh, inventive takes on breakfast and lunch. Everything is delicious. Not your eggs, bacon hash-browns kind of place, quite popular with locals.

There are four I can recommend. The Main, a Hilton property, Glass Light, Norfolk Waterside Marriott and Sheraton Norfolk Waterside. All less than a 10 minute easy walk. A Courtyard by Marriott is not as close but still a short approximately 10-15 minute walk (with luggage, otherwise it would probably take less time) which you may do through a lovely historic neighborhood. All are nice properties with plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, bars within walking distance.

My husband and I also got this offer. I have only been on 1 HAL cruise and spent/lost $50 in the casino. We did spend money in the spa, wine packages and tastings so thought that was why we received it. We booked a Christmas cruise to Caribbean for $580 with $200 returned for obc. Jackpot! we were told to go to the casino when we get on board and show them our card so I wonder if that means we get free drinks while playing? if it’s anything like Las Vegas I would loose $50 while waiting for a free drink I could have bought for $10. anyway life is good!

I have not looked closely at the web page so I defer to you. The few downtown garages I have parked in recently do have signage that states no cruise ship parking but how they know you are on a cruise is a mystery to me.

I believe the only way you could stay in that parking garage is to arrange with the hotel and pay the parking fee they charge which if I remember correctly is more expensive than what the city would charge. Otherwise you do run the risk of having your car towed. It is a city owned parking garage and overnight parking is not allowed unless you have a reserved space that is paid monthly,

You may have the limo pull up to the pier and drop you off, there is a circular driveway so cars and buses may discharge passengers. The porters are right there to take your luggage. I can’t say how the lines will be, I usually get there early. If you wish to drop your luggage off and it seems crowded you may wish to take a short walk through the historic Freemason area, large homes some of them from the nineteenth century, on a tree lined street. There is also a nice coffee shop and a cheese shop about a 10 minute walk from the pier, both of which have outdoor tables and serve sandwiches and freshly made bakery items. They both offer beer and wine too.

I live in Norfolk and have an acquaintance who works at the cruise port. If you are getting dropped off by Uber or whoever you may pull up to the port and porters will take your luggage. You can also drop off your luggage and then park. There will also be a ride share drop off point at the pier. You may wish to be dropped off on Main Street before you get to the pier, in front of The Main hotel or adjacent to. Or on the opposite side of the street of the pier. You can then avoid most of the traffic. we usually get dropped off at the pagoda which is a pleasant 5 minute walk along the waterfront and past the USS Wisconsin to the pier. happy cruising! I did the walk from the parking lot to the cruise terminal, it is about 7 blocks with brick sidewalks once you get closer to downtown, and the sidewalks can be a little narrow. If you drop off your large suitcases at the port it is doable. once you cross over the busiest road, Hampton blvd, which does have crosswalks, head toward the river and walk down Granby street; it is a nice walk through downtown. Or if you want to walk through the historic neighborhood with beautiful old homes head to W. Bute street. This will take you to the river, then follow it to the oriental garden and the USS Wisconsin which is at the cruise port. All in all probably about a 20 minute walk.

We made a detour to the LL Bean store and it was disappointing. It is, like someone else pointed out, just a store. I prefer the smaller store in my mall, it carries everything I would be interested in with better presentation. But still I shop primarily by catalog. There is a restaurant where we bought sandwiches but nothing great. Spend your time elsewhere unless this is on your bucket list.

I am not aware of an airport shuttle to cruise terminal. Uber or cab may be your best bet. If traffic is heavy at port I suggest getting dropped off at Waterside or the pagoda, depending which direction you are arriving. Then it is a lovely 5 minute walk along the waterfront from either if you can manage your luggage.

I was on the Rotterdam in January and was able to use my drink package for the martini tasting in the tamarind. The bartender rang up each drink separately.

If this is the courtyard on Plume street then It is not necessary to take a Uber. You could walk out the front door and be at the baggage drop off in 5 minutes. If you have a lot of bags take some down, drop off at bag handler and go back for more. It is 3 very short blocks away.

I have used the search button to try to find this answer and was unable to find it. So forgive me if this has been asked before. I am booked on a b2b cruise next year. May I apply for stock onboard credit for each phase of the cruise? I have two separate booking numbers.

When I was in Dublin I enjoyed The EPIC Irish immigration museum. It was fascinating to see the history of immigration and the interactive aspect made it easy to stay engaged. I am not usually a museum person, especially with all the pubs around, but this stood out.

Our first time on Holland America. We have anytime dining. A few questions related to comments above. Can we make a reservation for our dining time? Why go to Cannaletto the first night only if cruise begins on Sunday and Wednesday?. Thanks and can’t wait for our cruise!
