Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Welcome redrum_29. Have added you to our traveler's list. We're getting almost to the 6 month mark. We are also supper excited to go back to Hawaii and have never been to Australia... ccLuminosa24 2.xlsx
  2. We have...!! The trip up the road is precarious but the monastery is amazing. They tell of the German army trying to invade the monastery because the Germans thought the Ark of the Covenant might be there. The walk to, I think the Cross of St. Michael and the views are awe inspiring. I love Church History. Took a bus trip from Barcelona there.
  3. Wow, You are doing a lot of cruising. If you get to Barcelona, it a great city. Make sure to get tickets to see Sagrada Familial (probably not spelled correctly.) It the huge church designed by Gaudi. and may be finally nearing completion after HOW many years?! You have to get tickets a month ahead of time to get inside, although the outside is amazing too. Gaudi has gardens and houses in town also.
  4. Welcome manisgirl and hubby. I've also heard in another group I'm in that the crossing was great. I'm so looking forward to the south pacific. We're thinking of the Whale watch tour in Moorea and maybe a snorkel adventure at the next stop. Have a car rented for a southern tour of Diamond Head and beaches and beautiful vistas. We have done 2 Trans-Atlantics and a 15 day to Hawaii and back. Carnival makes the longer cruises extra special....
  5. Thanks Kallie, I've added you to our short list. We are also planning a trip to the Blue Mountains and maybe to Bondi Bay. ccLuminosa24 2.xlsx
  6. It was an amazing experience. I would encourage anyone to try it. You can do any length of walking. The minimum for a compostela is 100 Km.(Essentually from Sarria to Santiago.) I'm planning a second trip to walk in 2025. We will just find one on google maps that isn't too far from the docks and schedule a car for our adventures. Thanks
  7. Wei 57Wei, Thanks for the info. Hiking is kind of our thing along with kayaking and snorkeling. in 2022 I hiked the Camino de compostela from St Jean Pied de Port and met my wife on the way and we finished together. (I did 779 Km and Deb did 118 Km which is not bad at all since she had her right hip replaced in August of 2020.) Last time we rental a car we had to go a couple of miles away by bus to get the car. Is that normal?
  8. We are renting a car and going along the southern part of the island. Checking our Diamond Head and then to a beach east of there to snorkel. Last time we did Pearl Harbor, Dole Pineapple and Wiamea Bay. Got there just after the Big Surf Comp. in Dec. What a blast to play in those waves. Any suggestions going South and East?
  9. Welcome, You got your first post posted. I've added you to our small list. 6 B2B in the same room I'm hoping. You can almost be part of the crew with that many on the same ship...LOL Below is our list.... ccLuminosa24 2.xlsx
  10. Do you have a PVP from Carnival. I use Charlene Reisler 1 (800) 819-3902 EXT. 82937. You can call her and tell her Jim & Deb Kelly said to call her. She will actually give you a call when it opens up and you can use her for getting a great room, a great price, on any and all your Carnival needs. She is wonderful to work with and we have used her for many years. We turn Diamond on our cruise so 220 nights on board.
  11. retltrcrr, Thanks for all the help. Mono-rail station close to both and can go downtown. We never did get up in the Needle so will try to get it done this time. Looking at Sydney incognito for tour to Blue Mountains.
  12. We're on another forum and they suggested Hotel Theodore in Seattle. Looked it up and it looks very nice. Convenient to a lot of things and there is a promo code to use: Let them know you are with others in our "Luminosa Group" {//Flip.on/JJBO7Ny}
  13. Just got our tickets to Seattle on the 16th of September for a great price... Will be looking for a place to stay in Seattle and then a place to stay in Sydney.
