Hope it's on target - we're booked on the 1st voyage out of Barcelona!

We are also booked on that cruise and are a little anxious! We are sailing on the Marinerin about a week. When I called the line for a special request on the Mariner I asked the rep if they had any updates. He said updates would be coming out in about a month but have not seen anything yet. He did say that at a company meeting recently they were told it was ahead of schedule. I hope!

We are also sailing on Splendor 4/20 and would love to see some current updates with pictures!

I agree we are on the 2/6 Barcelona to Miami. I would feel better to see some updates and l know that things are on schedule.

  3. Hi

Will be joining you in Lisbon to Miami. Last year we were in a similar suite. We had the whistling door also. Try really slamming it shut before locking. It worked for us. I thought they corrected that problem.

    See you soon!

Sheila I see that you are from New Jersey and Florida by chance would that be Marco Island Fl.?
  4. This still adds up to HAL getting 3 fares for one cabin.

The companion pays her fare. Then she gets a refund from the insurance. HAL still has the money she originally paid. Now HAL wants a single traveler supplement too? Since the supplement is double the regular fare, that means HAL gets 3 fares for that cabin. The OP double fare plus the amount they received from her companion.

    That can't be right.

If my wife is sick on my next cruise and simply doesn't show up at embarkation, I would end up in the room by myself. So, I would then have to pay a single traveler supplement even though we already paid for double occupancy?

Tom, I agree with your math!

  5. We were in 11005 on our last cruise on Marina in French Polynesia. Yes, the overhang from Deck 12 can obviously be a bit of a problem sometimes for photography but you can always go up to Deck 12 and higher if you are after panoramic shots.

I found the extra shade useful especially in the hot South Pacific sun.

The access to the laundry is from the corridor on the starboard side, opposite 11000 (unless it has been moved). There is also access to the bridge but this certainly causes no disruption!!

    Enjoy and happy sailing!!

I was hoping that there was access to the laundry from both sides of the room. It would have made access to our friends cabin much easier. We are in 11000 and they are in 11001. I assumed there was a door in each hall. Was that incorrect?
