  1. Tel: 800 872 6779 ext. 30317 (For Confirming OBC Fax Has Been Received)

Thank you for posting this number.

I had sent stockholder info by snail mail for two cruises with one being credited and the other not. I was actually able to talk to a booking support person who credited the remaining cruise.

  2. usually have to wait a while for Taxi after cruise. Is Uber easier?

For us from the port a taxi is normally a little quicker than Uber but around $2 more. We have never had to wait for a taxi. Taxi fare is usually around $13 to 15. You can't lose with either except if you use a Princess transfer.

  3. Princess first told me that I was given the credit but when checking my personalizer it never appeared under "Payments & Credits".

My TA also assured me that they had applied it but it was under a "special services area" which I could not find and it couldn't be listed with the other cabin credit.

Finally this morning I talked to another agent who knew what the problem was & corrected the situation. :)

The last thing I want to do is get on the ship & have to argue with the PSD about cabin credit. :(

Today I received 100 pp OBC for the 20 Mar cruise although it did take two attempts. It did show up on the personalizer as "Customer Goodwill". I all ready have OBC for ***** for the 18 Feb (on booking sheet $100pp) cruise but not on the personalizer. So the next mission is to get that on the personalizer. I decided not to even ask for it on the 19 Jan cruise since we booked that cruise last week.

  4. We were on this cruise with you and were definitely told at Gelato's that they were no longer accepting the coffee card there. I checked the Gelato's menu and sure enough it no longer listed how many punches for a treat, only the price. We went away disappointed and noted on my survey that I would no longer be buying a card unless it was also good at Gelato's.

We were told by the bar manager that the only reason the AIBP used to include gelato is because the coffee card included it. He said the coffee card now doesn't include it and thats why the new beverage package does not include it. We have never boughten the coffee card, only beverage packages. I did miss the once a cruise trip to the gelato shop.

  5. wow it is not normal for the laundry to take that long for elites, unless you are on a transatlantic or something.

We were on the Royal twice this year and if we had the laundry in before 9:30 we got it the next day in the evening usually, occasionally the next morning.

    .

I think a good room steward can help facilitate the laundry service. On last weeks Royal cruise (700 Elites) I would send a bag in the morning and then a bag in the evening before dinner and they both would be back the next evening.

  6. I finally spoke to some nonsuite Elites about laundry. They said it’s taking three or four days to come back. What they sent in by nine on Monday morning came back Thursday night, but what some sent out by nine on Tuesday did not come back last night.

    .

Interesting because on the cruise before you we had a few more Elites and laundry (non Suite) was always back by dinner time the next day. Now on the Regal last month it was another story, the dreaded three days to get it back.

  7. We were in-transit for the Royal on Nov 30th. There were some 120 Park West employees (art dealer) lining up and there leader was demanding VIP treatment (boarding process) because they produce countless millions for Princess.

I wanted to throw up. We were able to beat them in the side door for security.

  8. The newer pier makes it so much easier to reach the middle of town than the older pier. I did see some cruise ships there when we were docked so I suppose it's still in use from time to time.

I would expect it to be very crowded waiting for a shuttle.....somewhat like waiting for a tender at Princess cays.

I guess we were lucky docking in front of town. It made it so easy to do a walk about. I hope the the Royal gets it again

    on our Feb 18th cruise.

  9. We have a good TA that booked the Sky from inaugural to FLL. It was all or nothing because we gave her only 4 cabins to pick from and she got our third choice. From past experience these unique cabins normally go within 5 minutes of the opening window.

It appeared that calling was the only option when it opened for Elites, is that correct?

  10. Today in Martinique we’ll have to take a free shuttle from the ship down the pier. We’re not allowed to walk. People wanting to get off the ship soon after it arrives will have to wait in the theater and get numbered tickets. People on Princess excursions will meet them on the pier. If we get off the ship, it will be after lunch and hopefully won’t have to wait long for a shuttle.

We were on the cruise before yours and we were able to get off the ship and walk down the pier into town. Maybe your docking at the pier on the other side of the fort, X was docked there with RCCL last week.

  11. Can you use L101 and the other forward balcony when the ship is sailing as it reads balcony use while in ports?

The answer is YES. Wind can be a big problem at sea. I believe they show it as unavailable at sea on the website so people are not disappointed about wind issues. Either you like the forward facing balconies or you don't.

  12. Ask the people who arrived back at Ft Lauderdale on 30th at 9 AM.

Just curious what your referring to on the 30th NOV? We were through passengers on the Royal but our boys got off the Royal on the 30th and one of them caught a 7:50 JetBlue.

We did see the Caribbean Princess dock around 9AM, maybe thats what your referring to?

  13. Thanks for the info Todd320

WOW! you can get a couple of 350ml of hard stuff, cool. The wife would really be thrilled to get a couple bottles of the white house brand wine. One would really be all we need.

What portable box? If a wire come out of the headset it not wireless. Is the portable box then wireless to the TV or my tablet through Bluetooth?

    framer

Yea your right, I would not call them wireless either . The headphone wires (2 to 3 feet) run to a box that is maybe 4X4 inches and then wireless to the TV.

  14. It all depends on your comfort level and your plan B.

I'm not promoting an early flight, just sharing our experiences. We have never missed a flight that departed FLL between 7:30 AM and 8:15 AM off the Regal or Royal. The last three seasons we averaged 5 departures out of FLL, 2 already this season. We are usually off the ship between 6:15 and 6:40 and arrive at the Delta gate by 7 AM.

What makes this comfortable for us is that if we miss the flight we can standby for later flight at no extra cost to us.

Walk off group "A" is a must.

  15. It is my understanding that a standard Cabana @ $140/220 includes a stocked minibar. What is in the Minibar? Can you get a bottle of wine?

I've heard they no longer include candy or MP3 players. Do they still have the wireless headsets. Any other tips you want to share are welcome...

    framer

Did a Regal Sanctuary cabana in Nov and a Royal cabana last week. Full day Mini bar includes 12 non alcoholic drinks. Small water bottles, soda pop cans, water with gas, etc. Any combination you want, example a 12 pack of diet coke. Includes 2 bottles of alcohol your choice but they are 350ml. You can get two big bottles of Champagne but wine depends on price point so it might be 1 bottle. You also get two welcome drinks of your choice. The Regal stopped giving out candy bars but the Royal gave out Kit Kat's last week. A fruit basket, glass of nuts and another of gummy type candy. For a half day cut things in half for the most part. There is no charge for food delivery like they do for Sanctuary chairs. No mp3 players. Wireless headsets but you do have a wire from your headset to your little portable box.

  16. We are sailing on the Royal for 20 days this February 2018. We have yet to receive an email about the ***** being removed from our sailing. We made final payment on December 5. Only discovered the removal of the ***** after reading here on CC. I phoned Princess today and advised them that we were very disappointed that the ***** has been removed from our sailing and it would appear it was removed around our final payment date and that we have not received any notice of the removal. What we are most disappointed about it that the ***** was removed around final payment date whiteout notice and that now we will lose the higher speed unlimited WiFi that came with the *****. My hubby has to have the ability to do some work while away so the unlimited faster WiFi has a huge advance to this cruise. After a bit of time on hold the agent offered $150.00 per passenger OBC which appeared in my booking immediately. It pays to follow along on CC. Thanks.

We are also sailing again on the Royal, 18 Feb, 10 days. Had our TA make the call to Princess to get 100 pp OBC for no *****. I don’t like the fact that it takes a call to Princess, because it should be automatic. On the other hand I will chase $200 in total OBC.
