I should be doing something besides playing on the computer.

It is 53 damp and dreary in Western KY

Just wondering if anyone else has booked the Courtyard downtown Miami for Feb 14 before Breezing the next day?

I called the hotel to check on shuttles etc.

She said taxi ride from airport to Courtyard appx $25.

They do offer shuttle to POM starting at 11:00am ending 1:00 pm $5 per/person.

FUN!!!! LOTS OF FUN!!!!! That's what you can expect. As the cruise gets closer we will plan some activities but some of the things we might do are a cabin crawl, white elephant gift exchange and a couple of meet and mingles. We might do some group excursions or even if it's not a group excursion we might all might meet at the same beach resort or something. Of course, no one it obligated to participate in anything they don't want to do. It's just a lot more fun in a group.

Sounds great meeting new people that love to cruise. The tragedies this week is yet another reminder that life is all too short.

I had some Marriot points to use. I was able to get booked at Courtyard downtown 2nd avenue. We are flying into FLL and then I hope to get QLS shuttle to Miami. We hope to make their afternoon shuttle. Just chill that evening. I hope we are close enough to walk and get a couple bottles of wine. Anyone know? I can rest better if I am in the departure port the night before

Question for Cupids since I am a Cupid newbie.

I booked with the the group with $ 50 deposit. We just went with inside.

I am getting ready to pay most of the cruise I had a suprise bonus at work, so what better way to pay for cruise.

So with that being said,if there is a price drop in your category, are we eligible for OBC until final payment has been made?

I know interior rooms are already reasonable and I do not plan on OBC but hey one can hope!!!

I have enjoyed reading about the experiences of the orginal Cupids.

We live in western KY. I know there are several things to hunt in our area. That is a new one for me.

I have began to check on hotel and airlines. If we can take SWest out of Nashville TN, our rate is about $4oo less. We will not be there till around 5ish pm on Friday. Non stop is so much easier. But how much to FLL if you do not want to rent car. Too much hassle

These boards stay so busy, I am losing count. How many cabins have ended up being booked with old and new Cupids?

I wil be going to DC Friday morning. I am one of KY delegates to attend the National Education Representative Assembly.

There will be apprx 10,000 delegates from all states conducting business

Washington DC weather looks like it is going to be one long hot week.

Dave I hope the strike is settled soon. I admire and respect you and your union brothers and sisters for standing strong. I know at times it becomes very difficult.

On a happy note I have one younger brother who lives in Denver and of course I live in Western KY.

He flew in today with his wife of 25 years this week .

We get to play and have fun for 3 days and then it is off to Denver for them.

The new song PONTOON we will be playing and there be cold beverages flowing on KY Lake for the next 3 days Temps 95 but no rain in forecast.

DH is business agent for his local. Their new contrat has to be voted on by members tomorrow night. I hope all goes well and he can join us later tomorrow night to play

It sounds like several of our group have had some scary things happeing lately.

I am glad everyone is safe and their health is improving .

I am at bargaining training. New experience being on a bargaining team. I have a feeling I am about to learn alot

It is time to get back to normal (or at least what we call normal) MY FIL was put to rest on Friday. He was 86 and had a good life and was a strong Chrisitan. His Wife of 64 years, 3 children, their spouses, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many friends celebrated his life. RIP Dewey Hobbs.

It is the last day of this school year. YEA YEA Now a couple of days of rest and a PD day and ready for a lake weekend. Everyone have a fun filled and safe Memorial weekend

DH and I are both 56. Two grown sons. Oldest 32 and married to a wonderful girl. Our other son 28 is single. We live in a small town in western KY with 2 cats and 2 dogs. Looking forward to making new friends who enjoy cruising. Kathy
