Thanks for sharing. We just had Cabo Rojo changed to Catalina Island on Jan 30.
Do you have to pay for loungers/umbrellas?

Would you care to share more details. What airport? How much are the transfers?
We are flying into Punta Cana. The shuttle is $100 and $113 for 2 people. They have great reviews

We are cruising Jan 29. I have booked a shuttle with Coco Tours. We fly in the night before and are staying in La Romana. When we disembark we are using the same company to take us from the port to Club Med for the day - our flight is late. I will use a taxi from La Romana hotel to cruise port and from Club Med to airport

I was there in January. We found them less aggressive than in Jamaica and St. Lucia. A simple no gracias was enough

We were just on NCL Bliss. There was a narrator throughout the day who gave lots of history. The day we docked in Panama City we did a ferry tour of the old locks, that way we did new and old!

I’m cruising next week with kids 13,15,18,20. We booked the kids 2 balcony cabins (cheaper than all 4 in 1 cabin) that are connecting (on paper it’s 1 adult, 1 child and 2 children in the connecting) and the 3rd cabin is about 10 doors down.

I booked my cruise (3 cabins) with RCI in mid June (for Dec) with non refundable deposits, the price dropped 4x in 6 weeks, I called RCI each time and had it adjusted and even upgraded 2 OV to balcony’s. Only once the rep wouldn’t give me the price so I called right back and the next rep did. I ended up saving $500 a cabin. I didn’t have any perks

First time we took the kids on a cruise we booked 2 OV GTY, it would have cost an extra $800 to select our rooms, the agent at NCL told us they would release them at the same time and since our reservations were linked would be close together. Although we were on the same deck one room was 3rd from the front and the other 3rd from the back. The kids were a bit worried but it ended up being ok

I’m with Telus, I have it set up that if I use my phone in the US/International I am charged a daily rate of $8/$12 using my plan.. I am only charged on the days I use my phone

We did this tour earlier in the year and really enjoyed ourselves, we are doing it again in Dec with 4 teens/yong adults

3yrs ago NCL sent me an email with an incredible deal for an 8 night repositioning cruise just before Christmas sailing from San Juan to NYC (St. Kitts, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Tortola) and was sailing in 6 days, it was $400 pp (cdn so around $300 us) incl the beverage package and specialty restaurants for an OV. I had a $200 gift certificate from a silent auction I bought for $25 so had to book through an agent, she didn’t believe me when I called to book. She said she had never seen such a low price before.
The ship was certainly not near capacity. We hadn’t been planning a vacation and had an amazing time. The deal was too good to pass up and we managed to get reasonable airfare.

I had booked Beach Limerz in February and it I found out the morning we arrived it was closed for repairs, ended up going to Darkwood Beach. We enjoyed ourselves, we were far from the inflatables, the beach was very quiet and we had great service. Would go back again

I took a tour with Cosol in February. We had a great time, very professionally run, great sites and lots of food. It does feel a bit rushed because of how much is crammed into one day but that is to be expected. Don’t let the bad reviews put you off.

I took the land and sea tour and the port area was absolute chaos. Our tour guide didn’t say much, was very quiet with no enthusiasm, fortunately Spencer came on board at some point and actually pointed things out. Our boat broke down on the way back and we got back with 15min to spare. I will be in St Lucia in Feb and am looking at other tour providers.

I’m on it next month as well! Except we have Tortola instead of St. Thomas. Amazing itinerary

The Gem 8 night Dec 2016 repositioning from San Juan to NY, ocean view with the drink package and dining for $400 cdn plus had a $200 gift cert. bought at a silent auction for $25. booked it 6 days beforehand. Had to use travel agent gift certificate was from and when I called her she said that price wasn’t possible

I did my online check in last night for Dec 10 Getaway, I was able to choose my check in time

It depends on the rainfall.... we went right after a heavy rain and the water was brown but we still had an amazing time, only one other couple there

We just did the Stringray tour with Acquarius Sea Tours - you could see if he is available to book the boat for just your group. It is one of my favorite tours so far.
-
we booked the 8am tender a couple days in advance and walked right on, had to wait for enough people to fill it. I was pleasantly surprised
-
chanthor13 - I have booked the same tour with Marvyn in 3 weeks but only for 2 of us! I was wondering whether to cancel the tubing, what is the beach like, was there any snorkeling? How far apart are the areas you visited? I wouldn't mind seeing some scenic places along the way
-
oops Jiffy Jeff no longer provides transportation to FL beach hotels either..... I have looked up everyone I can find
SAS doesn't go to the beach hotels
-
dktruj - -I just checked their website and they only drop off within 3 miles of FLL airport (must have changed since last year).... otherwise they drop you off at the airport and I have checked that rate and that will be another $30 for a taxi. I shouldn't have assumed it would be easy to get a shuttle! I am booked at a small boutique hotel 8 miles from the airport and have paid a $55 deposit. A private taxi will cost about $100 and a car rental isn't any cheaper by the time you add in all the extra fees and we get dinged on the exchange rate when they return the deposit usually costing $15.
I will keep searching

Does anyone know a shuttle company that drops of at Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotels (from Port of Miami)? It seems they all drop off at the airport or airport area hotels. I realize I could take a private taxi but am trying to do this on a budget. Thanks!

We were there in January, plenty of places to eat. We were tight on time but wish we had time. We hired a private guide and he took us through some of the amazing court yards of the restaurants
