  1. i think every suite has its plus and minuses. The S6 has a large balcony and is a beautiful cabin but has noise and vibration concerns from spice and is a long long trek to the haven.

I agree 1000 percent. I am also getting my butt on the treadmill so I can actually walk it. Lol. I am so excited about this cruise that vibrations, noise, walk from hell to haven, narrow and heavy doors , and ship falling apart in places ,will not deter me!!! I am off from work and this is our once in a lifetime dream vacation. :) I work a stressful job so I welcome the time away. :)

  2. I may be wrong but I think the s6 on the breakaway at least, may in the future become a hot commodity. It has a huge balcony compared to others and haven access. I just found out that the aft penthouses on some of the other ships, are not part of the haven.

I was initially upset when I found out deck 14 does not have the tub in front of the window. But when I saw the bedroom picture and I can get out to the balcony from bedroom and living room area, I was so happy. Hey, I booked sight unseen in 2011. I can't expect too much. :)

  3. :D:D:D

In that case you will love the cabin. We did, so much so we just changed an upcoming (9 months away) cruise in an S3 to an S6....the $$$ savings didnt hurt either :)

Wow!!! The savings is definitely wonderful. I'm sure you can only imagine what I'm paying for that room for the four of us. :(. It will be a vacation of a lifetime for us. I can't see us being able to pay that amount yearly. :(

I have never had a suite before and hubby and children do not know. They think they are staying in the mid ship balcony like last time. Lol. I whacked my head a million times on my sons drop down bed from the ceiling trying to get out to the balcony. My family is awaiting moms yearly concussion. Lol. They are in for a surprise.

  4. Thank you so much for your awesome review!!!!

You answered a lot of questions for me.

My hubby and my 12 year old daughter are scuba dive certified and were considering a dive in Bermuda. ( yes my baby girl who was initially afraid to learn to swim was scuba dive certified at age 11. So proud). I was looking for info on diving. Thanks so much.

I really appreciate you taking your time to help us. Between you, Shaun and Gambee, my cruise for July is looking wonderful. I know what to expect and what not to expect so I can plan accordingly. Thanks again.

  5. Thanks so much for your input. It has been invaluable.

I guess I can compare the vibrations to my sons Xbox I hear day after day, shaking my walls. Lol

Or my daughter listening to one direction all day. :) boom boom.

I spent so much money and have been looking so toward to this cruise since October 2011. A little noise or vibration can't scare me. Lol.

    Thanks again.

  6. I ordered the Baked Potato Soup and DH had the Shrimp Cocktail and the Crab Cake. The soup had no flavor, there were only 3 shrimp and the crab cake had very little crab in it, just imo. Both had filet mignon, my was cooked okay, but dh ordered medium and got rare. Had a slice of cold garlic butter on top. DH had baked potato and I had steamed broccoli. His was ok, mine had absolutely no flavor. I had dessert and dh had coffee. I got two large slabs of brownie, with big chunks of peanut brittle and a little bit of chocolate ice cream. My dessert was not good. His coffee was not like we had the last time we ate in Cagney's with the old menu. IMO

Thank you so much for your opinion. I loved cagneys when we went on the jewel. I was planning to have my birthday dinner there again this year. I appreciate everyone's opinion good or not so good.

  7. We might be in the same boat (pardon the pun). We're doing the Jewel in Alaska in 9 days with my stepson, Liberty of the Seas in the Mediterranean in September for my hubby's 50th birthday and the Breakaway in February.

But I don't know, I've become pretty addicted to cruising after our first one on the Oasis last year. I guess we'll see. :)

Lol. My first cruise was the jewel two years ago and I only want to cruise now !!! Lol. I never cruised before because I was afraid as I get carsick, airsickness and seasick. Violently. I didn't want to have my kids miss out on what could be such an awesome experience. I went to the doctor and asked for the scopolamine patch and I was okay. I couldn't go into spinnaker without my balance being off but I was good everywhere else.

The Oasis is a possible future plan. :)

  8. That is so funny, but totally awesome!!! They're going to be so awed when you all get on the ship. :)

My hubby on the other hand feels really bad that I'm doing all the planning for my 40th birthday on the Breakaway.

Awwwwww I am also spending my birthday on the breakaway. :).

I really want this cruise to be special,as it has cost us so much, we will probably not be able to go on vacation for a few years. Lol. :)

  9. Gosh! I'd be playing word games like, "this cruise is going to be so SWEET!"

"We're going to have such a SWEET time on the cruise" :)

Lol. Trust me I do. Tried so hard not too but I can't resist. He may be a little suspicious as I talk about the cruise and the boat constantly. When I texted him. "She arrived safely in New York" , he knew I meant the breakaway!!!! Lol. :)

  10. Thank you so much. It's gorgeous. Not sure if that is deck 14, due to speculation from many that deck 14 and 11 have the different setup, no tub in front of the window. Until someone who actually was in the room, posts, we won't know for sure. :). Im so happy, either way.

My husband thinks we have a mid ship balcony room, like we did on the jewel. Awesome cruise , however room sort of cramped for hubby, me and two kids. One bed was a pull down from the ceiling, and I must have whacked my head at least 10 times a night trying to get past it to go out to the balcony. Lol. Trust me, it is so hard to keep quiet about the suite.

  11. I agree. Initially I did not, but when I saw the pictures I changed my mind. My family do not know that we have a suite. I am going to surprise them . I booked on the first day they were taking reservations for latitude members, so I have been keeping this to myself for a long time. We have never been in a suite before ,so I am so excited.

  12. Thank you so much for all your work and pictures.'

I ,too, booked an aft penthouse on 14. I booked a long time ago, the first day that they were accepting bookings. I have been going crazy trying to find a floor plan at least. The irony is that I booked the room because I was told about the tub in front of the window. That was a big selling point for me. Now, I may not even have that. lol I have to laugh or I will cry.I could have saved a lot of money if I knew the way it actually would end up. I am sure I will still have a great time. Booking sight unseen, was my choice ,so none to blame.
