  1. I don't understand what your question is?? Times changes during the cruise so if you are on a tour say in Mexico you go buy that time or the time of any destination you are in. When you board in Miami you board according to the time in Miami.

  2. I'm not sure. We had Arthur. But we spoke to quite a few people and they told us the whole Le Muse crew would pretty much be on Seaside which makes me very happy. The service was excellent!

You are correct it was Arthur I am so glad he will be no the Seaside, I will request him he's great.

  3. They do ask for a preference of dining time, but they are very accommodating. On the Divina we would let them know of any changes the night before or even the afternoon of and they always had us seated in the same section if not the same table (we sat at a different one once). Their service is excellent and so are the food and wine! We're on Seaside in December. The Divina YC crew told us they would almost all be on board with us which we're thrilled about. Enjoy!

Was Alfred one of the waiters that will be on the Seaside?

  4. MSC's website is one of the worst I've experienced for a major cruise line. We're sailing next month and were having website issues last summer trying to snag the Royal Suite for our cruise. I gave up, called the 800 number and got connected to Ms. Luna *******. She has to be one of the best MSC Vacation Consultants they have. She got us the Royal Suite, asked the right questions to learn I am retired military and got us a great discount applied to our cruise fare. And every time I've had a question, or wanted to book an excursion all I had to do was give her a call or send her an email. When I call her she greets me by name, and always responds to my requests almost immediately. If you want fast service I recommend her; and I plan to use her for all my future MSC. Her direct phone number is (954)958-1026. Tell her Fred Folson referred you.

I totally agree Luna is the best in the industry I would only recommend her for travel with MSC

  5. most agents are really nice and helpful on the phone. When I first found out about MSC and was considering the Divina for April 2017 I called them with all kinds of questions. I got Ms. Luna on the phone. What a first impression it was. She answered all my questions and I knew that MSC would be for us. We were on the divina April 15th. It was an amazing trip.

Luna is the greatest, I will only deal with her. she is so knowledge in the area of MSC and the offerings. I have book three cruises through her. Any time I have a question the is no hesitation she has the answer.

  6. I always tip at the end of the cruise: Butler, cabin steward, most Top Sail lounge staff, certain One Pool bar waiters, restaurant waiter and his assistant, spa therapist; then I hope I didn't miss someone I should have remembered. In the Yacht Club pre-tipping is not necessary at all because they all work hard. I've never come across a lackadaisical YC staff member. I don't believe they'd last very long.

Totally agree we also gave extra the service was wonderful in the YC they desire and are grateful for the extra tip.

  7. I know it is a subiect discussed before and I even found some threads about it but from a few years ago.

Can someone who sailed recently on Divina (and in the Caribbean) in the yacht club tell me how much are the tips? I know the service charge per person is 12$/day, added automatically to our account but what about the tips for butler, waiter, concierge. Are these tips given at the end of the cruise or every day?

    Thank you!

We also tipped over and beyond for the service we were given by the pool boy, waiter, attendant to the butler and also of course the Butler.
  8. To start, my wife and I have been on 6 past cruises and are in early 30's.

We have an Auera suite booked for May 2017 and had some questions to see if someone can help clarify some things. After reading tons and tons of negative reviews about the ship we are extremely worried. Though the majority of the negative reviews seem to be from the earlier years of Divina, can someone that has cruised on the Divina in the last 6 months tell me if this cruise line is doing better? Is the service for the Aurea guests in the dedicated dining area better then other parts of the ship? I seen many mixed comments about the included alcohol package with the Auera, some say no bottled beers included in some say any beer up to five dollars included? Can someone please explain this. After reading all the bad reviews I'm contemplating spending the extra $1100 to upgrade to yacht club. Any comments, suggestions, or opinions from anybody that has had the Auera experience on the Divina I would greatly appreciate it.

Upgrade to the YC you won't be disappointed by any means

  9. Sure, why not....can't you join your friends that are sitting in first class on the flight you came into Miami on and sit on their laps so you can drink for free and socialize?

    Love your comment so true

  10. I just received our eDocuments for our cruise on the Divina!  For embarkation time it says 2 p.m. Can we check in at the port of Miami and board the ship earlier than that? Like around noon?

We were there about 11:30 and people were boarding

  11. I compare it to flying First/Business class as opposed to Economy/Coach. You're on the same vessel, arrive at the same time & place but in a lot more comfort and more perks. If it's within your budget, go for it.

Agree with your comment we always fly first class and the YC is the best would not travel any other way.

  12. We just disembarked from the Divina. We were with a group of over 500. At least 10% became sick, including my wife and myself. Every day at mass, more people were coughing. The stores onboard do not sell cough medicine. “Sir, you can go to the Medical center ($200 for the visit and 5 pills) or you can wait till the next port.” The line was down the hallway for the medical center.

The ship did have hand sanitizers; however, some did not work properly and there were no crew members encouraging you to use them.

We tried to eat dinner in the buffet. The food is TERRIBLE. Only 3 or 4 choices in addition to burgers and hot dogs that were on the hot table so long that the buns and fries were hard as a rock.

We went to the buffet only once for the pizza, and walked around part of the area in the buffet. There was all different stations of food pasta bar, carved meats roast beef, chicken salad bar etc. I don't understand why people down play all the food at the buffet. Crowded yes we aren't buffet people so that's why we only went one and we were in the YC so had no reason to return. Either people try to down play that area or are just blind not sure.

  13. Do you mind letting me know who you contact at MSC (extension' date=' etc)? I would prefer to deal directly with them as well. Thanks!

I deal with Luna her number is 954 958-1026 she is the best agent at MSC I have ever dealt with. This will be our first cruise on Divina next week and I told her the first time I talk with her I would be a PIA she just chuckled. I call her with any questions or concerns and she has assured me we will be treated like Royalty. Tell her Bob said hi if anyone calls her. I just talked with her and she wants my feed back when we get back on the 28th. We also have booked the Seaside for next January all through Luna. Bob

  14. The use of the plus sign in the attached ad graphic is entirely misleading.

MSC claims the the words "up to" pertains to the entire boxed text, not the amount of OBC, even though a plus sign indicates "in addition to".

Even the $49 deposit has a plus sign, so their argument is weak at best.

So no, my inside only comes with $50 OBC and a $49 deposit...forget the plus signs.

I've cancelled and am sticking with Princess.

That is the best thing you can do is stick with Princess, every one needs to read the fine print on anything. Stick with your travel agent sound like he takes care of you. I have been extremely happy with the agent I deal with at MSC she is wonderful and have never had a problem, I prefer dealing directly with MSC rather than a travel agency if something is wrong I can come back on them. Happy sailing
