  1. Ahhhh, good to know about the early late line. Guess we really don't want to get stuck in any late line. Is the early line for those hoping to get on earlier than their time? All is good. I certainly have no problem getting on at our assigned time but need to track them down so we can hand their wine bottles over to them. Ugh.
  2. Yes, that would be easiest but our problem is that our daughter gave us their wine since they are flying down and we are snow birds so drive the wine down with us to give it to them. We are taking two of their bottles and we need to get their two back to them since we can't bring all four bottles on ourselves. So is everyone waiting around outside, waiting to be called inside? If so, yes that will be zooey. But I think I understand the process, so thanking all of you for helping me understand.
  3. Thank you. Sadly, our arrival time is 1/2 hour earlier than the rest of the group. So wouldn't we be able to just delay by a 1/2 hour and go in with them? And is boarding zones taking you in to the ship at different locations? I suppose all of this will make more sense when we get there. Thanks for helping.
  4. AND if your group is split up as D 4 and D 6, do they all go in at once or is that called individually?
  5. Thank you. Exactly what I wanted to know. So in reality, since I'm C, is there any reason that I couldn't go in and get a seat and then wait until they let D in?
  6. We will be in Celebration next month with other family. We are in the C boarding zone and they are in D. I understand that we can lag behind to D and board with them but I'm trying to understand the boarding zones. Are C and D in totally different locations ir is that just the time they let you enter in the same area? Any help in trying to understand the lay out would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  7. I was fooling around about more sipping. I seriously liked your first idea. But was also serious about no artistic ability but their web site CLAIMS I don't need any. We cruise next month and they only have their schedule up for the rest of December. So will keep checking for the January schedule. Thanks for the help.
  8. It's funny since I stumbled on that shortly after I wrote this. Sadly, I have absolutely not even one artistic bone in my body. I can't even make a decent stick figure person. REALLY. But thank you since this is exactly the type of thing I was looking for. May still consider it, but I'd have to do more sipping than painting so as not to embarrass myself. 🙂
  9. For those of us that have been to San Juan in double digits and done all the regular things all the tourists do, is there anything you may have done that was a bit different or off the beaten path? I'm spinning my wheels and hoping someone can help me brain storm. All suggestions are so appreciated.
  10. Do any of you know if it is possible to start in our assigned seating and if it just isn't working out, to swap to anytime mid cruise? We have always liked having the same table, same waiter, and it just makes it easy since it is how cruising was in the "olden days". 🙂 But we also have never tried this Carnival set up and maybe once on board, we may have a change of heart. Comments?
  11. Yes, we definitely will be going to Emeril's and I saw that they didn't need reservations, so wasn't worried about that one. Thank you for sharing your experience. Will give me something to ponder.
  12. Thank you for the info. I haven't cruised Carnival in a LONG LONG time and certainly not the bigger ships. Been big on Celebrity, Holland America, and Princess which don't have loads and loads of alternative dining. Now I guess we ponder if we want to get rid of the first seating that someone in our group finally was able to get us, or else head back to Anytime dining which is where we were originally anyway. Again, thanks for the hea
  13. We have first seating dining, but someone had said if you have the assigned seating, if you want to go to the above two restaurant, you can't get in the virtual line on the app until after 7:45 pm. We tend to eat earlier and wonder if anyone else can vouch for if indeed this is a rule.
  14. Thank you. This helps a lot. Will pass it on.
  15. We will be on a Carnival ship with a couple that will be getting married on one of the island ports. Someone had said they wanted to put a door hanging on the couples door about getting married, but someone else said that Carnival doesn't allow door hangings any more unless you buy them from Carnival directly due to fire hazzards. I haven't been on Carnival in MANY years since I frequent other lines so surely don't know the "new rules". I'm not trying to be a brat, but I can't ever recall any news about any cruise ship catching fire from a door hanging. Does anyone know anything about this topic? Do not want to break rules but would like clarification if anyone has cruise recently with Carnival and knows about this topic. Not wanting to go all out and make elaborate craziness on the door. It's basically a sign they had specially made. Comments?
