We are Gold on DCL and Gold on MSC.
-
Yes, phone rep told me the system was down today and I would receive them via email tomorrow. Cannot wait!
-
They email you or your travel agent the edocs a few weeks before your cruise.
LOL, I am the travel agent and client... and I'm within 20 days. Just called it in, apparently there's a website glitch.
-
I completed and confirmed my web check in for my 2/18 Divina cruise... is printing the "web check in form" the same as my E Documents which I am expected to bring with me to the port? Or are EDocs something else entirely (and if so, where does one find them?)?
THANKS!!

For the party of nine that were separated... did you have your reservations linked? Did you request to sit together? We are nine, linked and pre-requested! It will be awful if we are not all at one table!
-
Thank you so much for this awesome photo diary! It is incredibly helpful in knowing what to expect!!
Quick question... do you know if there was a children's menu in the MDRs?
-
We are staying a night after our cruise in Ft Lauderdale, and it may be easier/more cost effective to go to airport than direct transport from port to hotel. How much is MSC transport to FLL?
-
So, for teens/young adults we had both yes and no to the question: shorts and collared shirt permissible in MDR? Anyone know for sure? My son has only gym shorts and track pants, so if I am buying him new clothes, should I be purchasing shorts or slacks?

THANK YOU FOR THIS!! Going to gather the family to watch together :)

Freshly squeezed fruit juice smoothies are only done at the SPA bar as I'm aware of and, also as I'm aware of, they aren't included in any drinks packages except the all inclusive premium one!
Hope to have helped something! Have a nice day!
We will have the all-inclusive premium package... can you tell me if you need to pay to get to the spa bar, as in must be using a paid service at the spa in order to access it, or is it open to the public (because a freshly squeezed fruit juice smoothie sounds delish!)

There are a couple of things you need to understand and consider.
Firstly, the leak reported by WheelingTravelingMom WILL have been repaired by now, let alone by the time you cruise in April. The carpets will have either been dried or replaced.
They will not just let the problem persist.
Secondly, ships develop problems from time to time when in service, and not just after drydocks. Leaks are more common than you may think.
The ships structure is always moving, flexing, twisting, and pipework and joints occasionally fail, gets blocked by inappropriate things getting flushed by Guests, or just backed up.
Yes the Wonder has just has a large drydock, but a lot of the work done in Guest areas is cosmetic, and not completely stripping the systems back to bare bones. You need to consider she will be 18 years old this year.
I hope you are one of the very very high percentage of Guests that have a problem free cruise.

Thanks, yes, despite that one cruise on the Magic with multiple issues (it was actually a b2b with one problem on each leg), all of our other DCLs have been nothing short of magical! We are frequent DCL cruisers (currently three w/in 12 months on three different ships) so we know of the potential pitfalls and they are certainly not enough to discourage us, however if moving staterooms 100 days out would be beneficial, why not? Ironically, I was torn between decks six and seven anyway, so the OPs issues might just swing things in favor of deck seven.

That is 4 months from now, they should have the room fixed by then.

While I would like to think that, we sailed a few months after the Magic came out of drydock and had two separate issues (one a leak from ceiling dripping onto bed, and another stateroom so moldy smelling my son had a horrible allergic reaction and ended up sleeping on our cabin floor to avoid it), so this news of cabin issue in/near our assigned cabin concerns me. However knowing now may enable us to secure a different room now (especially given my son's mold allergies).
-
To the OP: what cabin were you in? We are scheduled to sail in 6654 in April and I am suddenly very concerned!
-
Anyone know if there is a spa/shower package?
-
Is there a gym on the Divina? If so, is there a cost to use it?
Does the gym have showers? Are they free or additional cost as well?
Thanks!

Thanks for your review... Would love to hear more about kids club, as regular DCL cruisers, I fear it won't keep my 8yo entertained!
-
Interested in this as well :)
-
Glad to know... Now Santa can put new lanyards in everyone's stocking! :)
-
For all guests, for status level guests, for no guests?
Thanks!
-
Thanks for sharing... looking forward to learning more!
-
Thanks all for the feedback...
If we get more than one per cabin, hooray... if not, that's okay too!!
My hope was that we would get one per person as we have 8 cabins with only two having black card members, so I was planning to share the wealth with our friends/family :)
-
Received our Black Status emails today (due to matching our DCL status) and I have a few questions that I don't see answered in the FAQs...
Three of us in the same stateroom will be black... do we each get a fruit basket? bottle of bubbly? etc? or is it a stateroom gift?
The dinner for two at one of the up-sell restaurants... do we have to take the Black card member or can dh and I use ours and our sons' and take our friends to dinner (we have a group of 19, only four of us are Black Status)?
Thanks in advance.

No more Sinatra show?! That was a selling point for us! Drat!

7 days, comparable ships, same category cabins (interiors, mid-deck). 3 people on Disney, $5800 w taxes. No perks.
7 days Divina. $1092 w taxes. Black card perks also.
I can't imagine Disney being nearly 6X better. It would have to be life changing / mind blowing.
I just did a quick comparison for next Nov when I am sailing DCL and similar seven night, in balcony cabin, two adults, Disney Fantasy = $3,093.24 vs. MSC Divina = $1,708.36
Not even twice the price, let alone 6x...
However until I experience both, I really cannot judge/compare, but I know the DCL product, it's tried and true for me... All complaints here re: guest services not being guest friendly, unwilling to resolve issues, etc. I know DCL does those things right!!
