  1. I just did! We have gotten SO bored with the RCCL Caribbean itineraries..... and just decided we needed a change! Celebrity didn't have ANY sailings we could do..... which would have been our first choice..... so we are now booked on the Carnival Dream in August.

I hear you. I love RCCL but we are also bored with the same. Carnival does have different island and itinerary and cheaper. Have fun.

  2. I have to change my cruise I have scheduled for this summer. Expensive car repairs used up my cruise money:(

So I am considering 3 different options.

The cruise I am changing is a 7 night Southern Caribbean on the Adventure of the Seas out of San Juan. I am considering booking the same cruise next June/July. I would probably get a promenade room for less than $2000 or a balcony for around $2500. The cruises in 2016 have these different options:

St. Maarten, St. Kitts, Antigua, St. Lucia, and Barbados or

St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Curacao, and Aruba or

St. Maarten, Bonaire, Curacao, and Aruba.

What route would you choose if you were to do a Southern Caribbean?

I am also looking at a 9 Night Bermuda and Caribbean cruise on Anthem of the Seas out of Bayonne. I live in NJ so this would be an easy drive and I can park my car with friends for free. This cruise stops in Bermuda, St. Maarten, San Juan, and Labadee. I am able to get a studio balcony for just over $2000. But I don't get that extra point for cruising solo in a regular cabin.

I am still waiting on the 2016 Alaska itineraries to be released. I have been looking at 2015 itineraries to get an idea of what my choices might be.

So what choice would you make?

    Thanks!!

There is an adventure St Croix, St Thomas, St Lucia, barbados and Antigua. check it out it is the best!

  3. HAHA just got off phone with C&A and I was told that they are inputting info into system now and that we should be able to book Florida cruises as early as tomorrow. I do not believe that' date=' BUT, that is what they told me.[/quote']

Thanks for the tip. what I posted was my response from RCCL to my thread. Sad RCCL mislead on Caribbean schedule.. LOL I hope you are right

None of us have gotten an email on the Harmony nor information is posted on the Crown and Anchor page.

I called just to find out you have to call in and do not know when the Caribbean would be release.

    Response:

We apologize for the confusion. The booking window for Crown & Anchor guests opens on March 31st, and the Winter Caribbean itineraries open on April 2nd. We hope this information helps.

  5. check on line first thing in the morning 4am or 6 am. If you see one place a hold on it. No payment rehired. you have 25 hrs to think about it and see if others come up. then call dccl and finish the booking. but do not wait when you see it. check all the time midnight is also a good time. we have been lucky doing this.

Best keep calling, and calling every hour or so.

  6. True, do not pay attention to the BOGO. Go with total pricing. Book on line with RCCL. Try rebooking another cabin just for fun (without really booking) if you see the price is less then call RCCL and they will adjust the price. Of course you can do this as many time before the final payment date.

Not sure of your schedule but the last week of April and the first fews weeks of May the prices seem to be higher, I guess no spring break and the kids are not out of school yet. No rain and the waters are great. We really enjoy it.

  7. yes the port of calls is a very good place to obtain a lot of information. Also go to Roll Calls, RCCL and there might be a thread already for you sailing date. Post on it and other cruisers will help you out. When are you going and what are your ports. Also hotels in PR are very expensive. You should book it now because they go fast. I suggest The Sheraton Convention Center next to the port. Tax rides can get very expensive in PR. And of course always travel the day before the cruise. if you are going to St Kitts, recommend Thenfordgrey Tour-St Kitts. which takes you to the fort and the island and cheaper, http://www.thenfordgreytours.com If you are going to St Marteen then Bernard Tours is awesome. Takes you places the cruise ship does not and takes you to the famous airport to see the planes land. 4 or 5 hours 45.00 free water, rum punch, soda and beer, We do this all the time, Leaves at 9am so you still have time to visit the town.

Let me know if I can help further.

  8. you do get double points but each one. If you both have the exact points then it does not help you each get them separately and does not convert you into Diamond Plus. In other words if you each had a 100 points and double is 70, you would be at 170 each. Does not combine. If one of you is Diamond Plus and the other is not then you are unable to go to the lounge. Some ships do not let you go in if both of you are not Diamond Plus. Even husband and wife. This has happened to us. They try to keep the capacity of the lounge at a level.

  9. RCCl,

As a Diamond Plus member one of my perks was to be able to book prior to releasing to the public and having that wonderful perks and customer service that went along with it. This avoided massive calls at once and internet issues as well as provided a wonderful service for your Crown and Ancher most cruiser customers.

Now that no longer exist and seems like RCCL is not prepared for the day it goes on sale.

It has to be a better way.

  10. Spoke to corporate yesterday and they assure me the Caribbean schedule was out today for Crown and Anchor and April2nd for general public.

Today I called and all they knew it does the same as the Oasis and starts after October 23rd transatlantic for the Caribbean. They can see that but cannot book them.

Other people git the same information from Corporate. very misleading.

  11. Have not really stopped recommending RCCL, but suggest that there are choices out there.

That prices for RCCl have gone up to high and the ports are the same. Like some say on this thread after looking at tother lines found different ports for lower prices. St Thomas has become not a very often port and less time in the port.

The perks were are good and enjoy the DL, but they are slowing eliminating a lot. The onboard coupons are not the best and the DL is slowly converting into going into another lounge. No pre boarding lounges available in Florida even though they used to have them and they still advertise them. I find myself looking at other places and adventure and well as different port.

When new ships were coming ut, we always had our own private event for booking with special pricing, now it just opens to the public and no perks for us.

  12. Thanks for the info. I did find this one. This is the deployment schedule.

However, this is not the cruise and ports schedule. When you read the board you will find out that a lot of people like myself called corporate and the Diamond Plus desk and were told we would et and email and that it was going to be available today for the Caribbean. Also RCCL release on line states the same. When I called today they did not even have the deck plan available. Now they finally do but no Caribbean.

The bookings are available for the public on April2nd. But Crown and Anchor is always first.

I do not think they are prepared for this one. Oasis and Allure was so smooth

  13. It is so sad that RCCL has mislead information on release of the Caribbean schedule for the Harmony. Corporate and other stated the Caribbean schedule would be release today and that the Crown and Anchor Members would be getting an meal for today. They also stated it would be on line.

None of us have gotten an email on the Harmony nor information is posted on the Crown and Anchor page.:(

I called just to find out you have to call in and do not know when the Caribbean would be release.

  14. Just called the Crown and Anchor desk and they do have the itinerary for the Mediterranean only… You have to go thru the Crown and Anchor since it is only open to members. Also they are selling Fast.

You can leave from Barcelona in June and the Rome in July but same itinerary. Palmas del Mar, Florence, Naples and not sure the other port. Very expensive No obstructed cabins on this cup D7 base price 1799.99 cruise fare plus port and fees.

Caribbean is not thee yet. Will check back later.

    Hope this helps. :D
