  1. Hi, I read that one can buy a thermal spa pass for the duration of a cruise....how do one go about it as I cannot find it anywhere in my cunard account? Also does anyone know the approximate price for the pass please? many thanks
  2. Very good point re the magic of sailing into New York...have not even considered that. Thank you for pouting this out
  3. Thanks, this makes good sense Is there any time that you would definitely not do a transatlantic?
  4. Either start or end in Southampton, but on the America side not to concerned as long as we can fly to within 3 hrs of the port. The main concern is which way is the preferred way for seasoned Cunard cruisers
  5. Another question, but this time about a possible future cruise,please... Which is the best direction for a Transatlantic...Southampton to America or America to Southampton?
  6. My husband had just given me a 'fashion show' of his sports jackets...to decide which ones to pack! I love seeing him so excited about the cruise (Apologies for the overshare)
  7. We don't need an influencer to tell us what to wear. In this time when dress codes are so open to interpretation it is good to get an understanding of how one's fellow passengers see the dress code. It is called consideration. A lady or a gentleman will also know that rudeness is never acceptable.
  8. He also repeats a lot of things... we are now onto watching ship videos, which of course leads to watching videos on the other ships in the fleet! We have not yet sailed and are already thinking of booking other cruise....transatlantic in June!🤩
  9. Great thank you...looks like I am on track Wifi- we are Cruising in Europe and our UK provider gives us free roaming in Europe, so we are planning to 'check in' on port days and enjoy the ship and cruising on sea days Drinks package - agree with you, not convinced it is worth it Speciality dining- feels like this should be a wait and see
  10. Hi, I agree dress code is a minefield... There is an influencer called Gary Bembridge (Cruise critic, please delete if not allowed) who does brilliant youtube videos on Cruising and has a lot of tips re cruising. He has suggested that for men travelling on Cunard a tie/bow tie is a must on gala/formal nights, but open neck with sport jackets is acceptable on casual evenings I am packing as a posh frock for each of the gala evenings
  11. Hi again, So I have booked tge taxi, the spa and our excursions....is there anything else I need to pre book please? Many thanks
  12. Morning Everyone, Hope everyone is fine today.... Does Cunard supply flannels (face towels) in the bathrooms? Many thanks
  13. Well we have just booked our first Cunard cruise...Northern Lights 12 November 2023....I am so excited 😊
