  1. The Fort Lauderdale to Quebec Emerald cruise starts June 19th and ends July 3 2024 - However, the ships docks in Quebec a day early, (6-2-24) can we disembark on July 2nd once the ship clears customs - or maybe disembark at 4AM on July 3rd?

I have a Quebec flight early morning on July 3rd...

  2. Found this on the Princess site  - so I guess no Caribbean the end of July, they just billed me final payment a few days ago...

"While Princess Cruises continues to work with various government and port authorities to finalize its additional plans for return to cruising and due to ongoing international travel restrictions, the company is cancelling the following cruise vacations:

    • California Coast and Mexico sailings on Ruby Princess through August 21, 2021

    • Caribbean sailings on Caribbean Princess through August 21, 2021

    • Remaining 2021 Mediterranean season on Enchanted Princess

Princess continues its discussions with various United States and Canadian government officials to try to preserve a portion of the Alaska 2021 cruise season."

Conditional Sail Order to remain in place until November 2021.

I'm growing increasingly disappointed in the CDC.

I'm more than just disappointed at the CDC arbitrary policies - I just few on a packed airplane, and the Vegas Hotels are wide open...

  4. Carnival is the largest company in the cruise industry with nine brands and 100 ships and can weather this storm.  I have owned CCL for many years, I have bought and sold a lot of CCL stock and made a lot of money with them - I plan to buy a bunch next week when the dust settles... Also; Several analysts are forecasting a $56 share price in 2021 when yields and costs return to normal.

  5. I understand Princess is going to start EZpay - Its a monthly payment plan option that allows you to spread the cost of your cruise over time and the payment will be automatically charged to your debit or credit card. Supposed to have no interest charges or additional fees.

Sounds like a good plan - has anyone know if its true

  6. I'm the OP that started this post - so thanks to all for the comments - and to Princess I hope you bring back the chairs but I wont hold my breath. I'm sure we all have seen how Princess is trying to squeeze more profits out of our cruising experience, by cutting, food quality, waitstaff, and now no chairs... Princess if you need more money raise your cruise price don't cut quality. (my 2018 Cadillac cost me more than my 2014)

We just finished our 27th Princess cruise, (Princess is our first cruise line) and are now looking elsewhere for our next cruise  - To bad I really loved you guy's

  7. Just on the Ruby Princess in a balcony room and noticed the small barrel chair was missing from the room - all you have to sit on is the awful little desk/makeup chair. I asked customer service about the removal and they said they removed the chairs to give you more space... I told them if they removed the beds we would have lots of room!

My wife is a little upset about no chair to sit and read her book - Thoughts...

Is that $10 for each waiter who serviced you?  How do you give it?  Do you just hand them the cash at the end of your meal?

So, the amount you tip is not dependent on the length of cruise?  You always give $10 per person?  Is that the standard tip for exceptional service?

I’m always confused how to provide an extra tip to staff for exceptional service over and above the automatic daily gratuity tacked on to my final bill.

    King

I tip the waiter $10 (not Asst. Waiter) only in the "specialty restaurants" Crowne Grill, etc not the MDR - I give him the money when he brings the bill to sign if service was excellent...

  9. We stayed Seattle Marriott Waterfront downtown and loved the location - lots to see and do in the area - But Seattle rooms are expensive - base room was $275 add taxes fees etc bill was $343/nite - Also stayed at Marriott Airport and it's not much better $197 base + add taxes it's $225/nite. We are Marriott Platinum Elite so we try to build our points with Marriott - so I haven't priced other hotel options. My message is Seattle is an expensive town so be prepared

  10. New to MSC and the Divina - we’re wondering what restaurants are open on embarkation afternoon… We really like the MDR for embarkation lunch on Princess, and hoping MSC had something other than buffet open for lunch
