The bottomless beverage package is $6.00 a day plus gratuities. So for example if you have a 7 day cruise it would be $42.00 plus gratuities. The soda package is well worth it because if you buy it by the can it is like $2.50 each

Do you still get the carnival insualted tumbler when you purchase the soda card?
The Carnival tumbler is $6.99 if your purchase the soda package

I sit and wait at the table for someone to bring me my dinner...........oh wait that is onboard...............I have to get my wallet back out and order a Pizza

We are going on the Carnival Fantasy next month and we are in cabin R31 (which is a porthole cabin). :) Has anyone ever had a cabin like this?? We are used to having a balcony cabin but since there are no balcony cabins (only suites) on the Fantasy. I am looking forward to the difference but my dad isn't quite so sure.
If anyone has input out there about these rooms it would help for me to reassure him that it will be fine. HAHAHA

I've got my 24-Karat Ship on a Stick collection from every Carnival ship that I have been on. :)

Life is too short not to enjoy life while you can or have the people in your life that you can enjoy life with. I cruise on Carnival Cruise Lines with my dad (I am 31 years old and my dad is 55). My mom doesn't wanna go but I'm not gonna sit at home.
My dad and I are leaving out on a cruise 5 weeks from today. Our second cruise in 4 months.

I've spent several days reading this thread. Hilarious!! People are an endless source of entertainment.
I have a story---not nearly as funny as some of these---but one that my DH will never live down.
We had been on a cruise to the Mexican Riviera and had a wonderful time. In one of the ports, we bought this pretty beaded bowl made by locals. It was a little pricey, but we both just loved it.
When the trip ended and we had returned to U.S., of course we had to go through customs. When it came our turn to go through, we stepped up to the little counter and the customs official started asking us the usual question. What was the purpose of your visit? "Pleasure." How long were you in Mexico? "5 days", etc. Then, Do you have anything to declare?
Now, I have to qualify this story by saying, my husband and I are Mr. and Mrs. Conservative. Nothing nefarious about the two of us! ;) Dh is very honest and would declare a postcard if we purchased one. So, when he was asked, "Do you have anything to declare?" He answered without hesitation, "Yes, we bought a little pot."
I nearly fell to the floor. Here's my husband, telling the customs officer that we had "bought a little pot" in Mexico. ROFLOL!! The official took one look at my expression of horror, looked at my husband, and just laughed and waved us through. Thankfully, he realized that my husband meant POTTERY.
This happened ~10 years ago and we still have a good laugh telling this story to family and friends. Well, I do, anyway!!
OMG!!!!! That story was hilarious. Thanks for sharing :)

I used those window /door cling thingies last time & had so much fun with it. Loved walking the halls of the ship, admiring other door decor. I don't think the doors on Carnival ships are metal, not sure about other cruise lines. A beachy theme sounds great.
You have made your way over to this thread now. :p Have you started the countdown for your next cruise yet???
-
Last cruise on the Legend in December we decorated our door as a Christmas theme. Complete with wrapping paper, a big red bow, jingle bells, and a welcome sign. Our next cruise is on March 17 so I believe we will do a St. Patricks Day Theme :)

I cross the threshold between ramp and cruise ship.... Once my feet hit the ship, I never look back.
This is my favorite moment too

I know I am officially on a cruise vacation once I start to walk up the Gangway. When I step foot on the ship for the first time and see the Atrium Lobby with all the light and colors. No matter how many cruises I have been on nothing ever beats that feeling. I LOVE CARNIVAL CRUISES

Hi,
First time in Nassau in March.
I have been reading all the threads on Nassau beaches and trying to decide which beach to spend most of the day.
I'm looking for a beautiful public beach thats relatively close the ship - preferably with restrooms.
Also planning to see Atlantis as well.
Any thoughts/opinions and best ways to get there would be appreciated.
Thanks for your help!!!
We are in Nassau in March too and we are thinking of having a beach day. A friend of mine says that Cable Beach is the best beach to go to. You can use the beach in front of the Wyndham hotel.

Now sailing as the Empress for RCCL's Spanish line Pullmantur.
Thanks. Good to know what happened to the first cruise ship I went on
-
Whatever happened to the Nordic Empress???? The Nordic Empress was a small ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet. We went on her in 2004 for my first cruise.
-
Our first cruise was on royal caribbean's nordic empress in january 2004. The staterooms on that ship were like living in a closet. So cramped and small :( but cruising on that ship got me hooked on cruising.
We have sailed on carnival cruise lines ever since with our next one coming in 10 days on the carnival legend
