We stayed there last Friday before our cruise. It's a little tricky to get to but I'd recommend it and I'd stay there again. The room was nice and bathroom was rather large. There's a nice courtyard which you access with your key card. The breakfast was good and hot. There's also a Kmart just behind if you have last minute shopping.

Anyone know a good place to buy hammocks?

Does anyone know a good place to buy a hammock in Cozumel and what is a reasonable price for one?

We are sailing out Nov 30 and due to our schedules we will be arriving in New Orleans around noon on the 29th.

My niece (25yo) has never been there and I want to at least give her a taste of the city but I haven't been there in 20 years!

With only about a half a day to spare, what are the big things we need to make a point to drive by or stop at?

You can stay longer but I don't think you'd get to snorkel more. The way it's set up they will probably have another group behind yours so you'd be snorkeling among their group. Theres really the feeding area and snorkeling area- no other water access point.

I hadn't thought about them having to change each machine to loosen them, I figured whatever they use to turn them off and on when entering or leaving port could do that too.

Might have to check out the video poker.

Hopefully someone will have some good info. I'm pretty new to casinos so I'm sure there's a lot I can learn!

I hit the casino on the first night of our last cruise and did really great- winning $96 off of $6 on one machine and then another $40 on others.

However after that it went downhill. I would win small amounts but overall couldn't get my luck back. A machine that would do bonus after bonus for me the first night would go on and on without a single bonus.

I'm wondering if they loosen up the slots the first night to get people in... Or am I just a wishful unlucky lady? LOL

Recently we cruised on the Triumph (July 28- Aug 3) and on the 1st we were in Cozumel. I had made arrangements online for us to have a driver through ToursPlaza and I very promptly got an email back confirming everything and then later another email with details on our driver and where we should meet him, etc.

When we got to Cozumel we found out that our driver had had some family issues so we instead had a van (for no extra charge) and our driver was Jerry. He helped us into the van and he took a few moments to talk to us and see what we were interested in seeing and what we would have the time to do. After that we took off and had a GREAT day exploring the island!

Jerry took us to a store to get bottled water to keep in the cooler in the back and we went nearly all around the island. Anywhere we stopped he would pull up to the entrance and assist us from the van and then when we were done he was there waiting to help us back in. In many cases he would stop the van so we could get a picture and in a few cases he got out and took our cameras to get us the best shot.

I would highly recommend ToursPlaza!

The Triumph on 7/30/12

We are booked for July 29th so at this point we are good to go.

Any reviews of this room? Confirmation of the bed options? We were told two twins and a trundle. If that's not right we have a problem!
