I believe RCCL will let you use gift cards the same way Carnival does. This is a certificate. Sometimes Verizon offers A Carnival certificate with similar rules instead of a gift card. Always read the rules and fine print

Yes. Vogt cards are available now
-
$500 Cards available now through Verizon

My kids also love the bartenders to add cherry juice to their coke or sprite. Much better than the premade cherry sodas.

I say #1 as well. You can hire a limo or rent a car for $100 or less. Then you can stop by and pick up some wine on the way to port![emoji485] Either way, enjoy your trip!

$100 cards still available at 8:15. Hurry while they last

Wife and I try every cruise to get to Red Frog first when available. We have been first each time we tried. The bartenders always say they don't know what we are talking about when it comes to a free beer or pictures. We asked J. Heald and never got a response. I guess if the CD gets up there when they feel like it. We'll keep trying! " No Beer Like A Free Beer"
It only applies to the Red Frog Pub, not the Red Frog Rum Bar. Are you going to the right place?

That would be wonderful. Pictures were not abundant in my family when we sailed her

I am looking for pictures of the Tropicale from the late 80's to early 90's for a project I am working on. If anyone has some photos they would like to share, I would love to see them. Exterior/Interior, rooms, venues, ports, anything would be appreciated.

Mine took about a week to get to NC. I bought them on a Tuesday. Got a phone call from Verizon on Friday verifying th purchase and they were delivered on Tuesday by UPS requiring a signature
-
You are correct. They are cruise certificates and not gift cards. Be forewarned everyone

Verizon has put more gift cards on their website this morning, 5/27/15, although they are not live yet. Last time they went live about 9:00 AM. Good Luck!!
-
I am still able to add and go to checkout in Verizon. They must still be activating some and releasing

The Verizon Rewards gift cards went live about 9:00 AM. Scored some $500 cards. Yeah!!!

Invest in a YETI soft cooler. Very expensive but they do not leak. You can turn them upside down and they will not leak through the zipper either.

You have to remember that you are in a very different social situation in these countries/islands. I travel to mainland Honduras for business and the crime rate is high. It is not uncommon to see people walk around with missing arms and hands from fights they have. Alot of the rural people carry around machetes and when they drink the local drink can get into some real good arguments and then they draw machetes. The textile industry was good for this country, but it is still extremely poor with people struggling to feed their families.

We could have had a drop but upgraded from a OV to a Balcony 8C for $250 more.

Tropicale in August of 1990. I was 18 and went with my entire family, all 6 of us. Quite the expense back then. Flew to San Juan and did a 7 day Southern Iteniery. Caracus, Grenada, Aruba, St. Thomas, and I can't remember the rest.

We were on the Liberty on Thanksgiving and I would have to say that Lorridana was definitely the best waiter that we have had. She was unbelievable with our kids. She has been with Carnival since 1998 when she started on the Tropicale. We are sailing on the Liberty again over July 4th and I will send the maitre d an email and request her table again if she is still on the ship.

Big group going on a budget. Which deck for rooms? Bottom of the ship versus under the kitchen and dining rooms?
-
Thank you all for the replies. It is me, DW, DS(11), and DD(9). I thought there was a reason they were having trouble getting rid of these cabins on a Thanksgiving cruise. They are 3 people cabins and we are 2 in each room. Something they hardly ever do on a busy holiday cruise. We will definitely not be taking this deal since we do like our sleep and the kids need theirs.

We are sailing on the Liberty in a couple of weeks in a balcony and an interior. Just got an upsell call to move the inside cabin to a balcony side by side just above the nightclub. The cost is $300 total. Thinking the rooms above the balcony will be too loud at night. What do you guys think. Our rooms now are the deck below Lido but not under the pool deck. Let me know guys.

Since you are on a Btb. Make friends with someone on the first leg and get them to buy your bottles for the second leg from the cheap fun shops. Go with them when they are picking up liquor when they are disembarking and take the liquor back to your cabin. We are on the second leg with you or I would help.
