So we are cruising in October and final payment isn't due until August. I'm wanting to book specific excursions now, but I'd rather not pay for them until final payment. Can I do that? Or do they expect payment of excursions up front?

So, I've cruised a few times, I've done the Spa tour, but for some reason never realized there were area of the spa free to use besides the gym. I recently read you can take showers there....do you just show up whenever??? what else is without extra charge in the spa??

wow! Thats amazing that you can get that much back. Let me get this straight.... You got the OBC because you DIDN'T take the upgrade that was offered, right? And all you needed to do was contact your TA and discuss that it was available and that you didn't want to change rooms, right??

so.......I booked through Carnival's website rather than a TA (early saver). I like my room, so I've really not paid any attention to the upgrades. Looks like I should! And if there is a similar sale/upgrade, can I just contact Carnival or do I need to have a TA??

When I order my regular dessert I also ask for the cheese plate to go. It comes on the regular plated with a cover over it. (Just like a room service order would)

I've only ordered it as a dessert to take back to the cabin for a late night snack. However, I'm pretty sure I saw it on a table near ours.

I've never taken food from dinner back to my room, but I like this idea. Do you just walk out with the plate of cheese???? Or do you have them wrap it up?

Carnival cruise seems to be using Manhattan........

And we are driving from midstate PA.

We are not wanting to drive into the city the day of the cruise, but would rather stay outside the city in a hotel where we could leave the car until we return. I know there are Hotels that will do this, and then drive you to and from the port. Anyone here know of any???

We've booked clear out for 2017!!! We already have vacation planned for this summer, so the cruise will be something to look forward to next year.

Ok, so I got my husband hooked on cruising with our honeymoon cruise. I just booked a Canada cruise on the Sunshine.....and we are so excited. I know I used to have a site bookmarked that would notify you if the price of the cruise dropped, but I somehow lost it. Can any of you help???

Were on our way to port liberty. I've got good directions to port. My ? is, do we drop off luggage first? Where? Then park and how do we get to ship? Walk? Transfer bus? I'm not sure what to expect. Thanks👍

I've never done RCL excursions, always did my own, but this time, we booked with them for convenience. (yeah, I know it probably costs more) For their own excursions, how do they get you there? When will we find out where to meet? Can anyone explain how it works so I have one less thing to think about??? LOL!

We are leaving 10/23 on the Explorer 9 day for our honeymoon.....sooooooo super excited. But watching the weather, it looks like Bermuda is going to get hit twice in one week with hurricanes.

First, how do those islands manage to bounce back after such damage? I can't imagine trying to get life back to normal after that!

Second, we have excursions booked through RC at Bermuda and Puerto Rico. If we have to miss those islands due to weather, will they be reimbursed?

My favorite winery has just released my favorite wine in a box wine-type bag. It is 750ml and stays fresher longer......it's not a bottle....but the size is right. Do you think I'll have any problems bringing 2?

I just noticed Explorer has updated deck plans from Oct. 23 2014 - March 7th 2015, pre dry-dock. Anything significant or is this just something Royal does from time to time?

can I still order premium tea and pay extra at breakfast? Or get a premium cup of coffee and pay for it? I'm not sure I'll drink $20 of coffee/tea each day, so can I pay for a cup or two each day?

Is there an opportunity to get a makeover at the spa for a special night? Like makeup and hair? Are they good, or does it look garish.....and how much?

So I understand you can order the Drink of the day and the shot of the day without the special glass to keep....but how much is it in a "generic" glass?

One takes you on a catamaran for an hour snorkel excursion, and another takes a high speed powerboat (smaller group of people) to a place to snorkel. Both are fairly similar in price, but do they go to the same place? Is one better snorkeling than another? Anyone have experience with these excursions? Thanks!

I've been on a couple cruises where we were seated with tablemates that we got along with and enjoyed dinner with them. I've also been on cruises where the tablemates were ...um... rude....late...you name it. And it made dinner something we didn't look forward to. My question is......if we are seated with tablemates that are difficult, do we have the option of switching to MTD?

I see only 7 menus there.....any info on the other night?

It's been a few years since we've cruised…..and it's been a few different cruise lines. But two of activities I really enjoyed was a wine tasting and a cooking demo. At the wine tasting, I think there was a nominal fee, but we got to try about 6 different wines and learn about them. At the cooking demo, we watched, then sampled, and got a fabulous recipe for Salmon w/Mango Salsa. Do they still do those???? Or is that passe now?

I understand that the menu's in the Main Dining Room follow different patterns. We are going on the Explorer out of NJ for a 9 day Bermuda/Caribbean cruise.....what is the order of menus? Trying to figure out if/when to go to Portofino's.
