Here is a snap from a Port day on Breakaway sailing in September. A couple early options. But as said above these times can change depending on sea day or port day. Check the dailies.

We are also on this cruise. I am assuming people will dress up more for NYE. I am wearing a cocktail dress. Not formal but dressier than I normally would wear.

I need to know the brand of Sue's crossover bag, please!
It is Lug. You can get it on QVC. At least that is where I got mine. I love the water bottle holder.

At the time you book the cruise you are charged for the gratuity. $17.80 USD per person per day. On the cruise you are not charged unless your drink is above the $15 limit. If you drink more than one drink a day this option makes sense.

The next ships after Encore will be smaller. The Leonardo class will be 3300. So not mega but not small. I guess NCL is leaving mega to Royal Caribbean. I for one am excited for these ships.

I agree it is a must see. When we were there it was snowing. Was not really prepared for that. We ended up buying a long sleeve t-shirt in the gift shop.

We used Cosol St. Lucia Tours a few years back. It was a pretty good tour.

Of all the cruises I have been I would say the Alaska cruise was the most relaxed dress. Nice jeans are not a problem.

We just paid $149 for an 11 day on the Jade. Breakaway will probably be more since there are more amenities but that gives you an idea.

So sorry for your loss. I am glad NCL took good care of you.

We did the cruise out of San Juan this past October. We checked in the morning and then explored Old San Juan until about 5 or 6. We took a taxi into Old San Juan as we were at the Pan American port.
I don't think they will be ready to take your luggage at 9 or 10. They don't have porters like in Miami where you just drop your luggage. We stayed with our luggage until right before we checked in where they took it. But we still had plenty of time to explore. No problem to get on the ship and get back off.

We are sailing out of San Juan in October on the Gem. Our depart time is 9PM. Do you know if it is possible to check in and get back off to do some exploring of San Juan? We know we would have to be back on the ship for muster drill. But we would like to spend a few hours in town without lugging all of our luggage.
We have never left port so late before. Has anyone tried to get back off the ship after they have checked in?

I always fill my water bottle with ice and water at the buffet. Always available.

We just got off the Jewel and now you can order actual breakfast as room service... Eggs, bacon, hash browns, pastries, juices all for just $7.95. Only disappointment was they did not include salt and pepper :-(

We were on this cruise so it makes it extra special. Thanks for sharing!!:)

Make sure that your snacks are sealed if they are in your carry on bags. We had an open bag of Goldfish crackers confiscated when we boarded the Getaway last year.

Thanks for the updates. We are on the 12/26 Breakaway and I was afraid that the Thermal Spa would be closed. I am glad to see it is open on the Bliss. I can't wait to be able to enjoy it.
