Exactly, we are the same. We always choose a cabin with cabins above and below and avoid proximity to entertainment decks. The point I was making is once you choose your cabin, MSC just before you sail change the location, normally without even telling you, and you end up on the deck above the Disco.
Suggest you talk to MSC before you give a deposit and get your cabin choice in writing or at least an assurance that you will be consulted before an enforced change. Believe me it happens quite a lot with MSC, they aren't the same as normal cruiselines.......!
Do they not confirm the cabin number on your confirmation email contract?

Don't be surprised when MSC change your cabin prior to sail, they are reknown for it as they don't care a damn for their passenger's choices...!
I’m not overly fussed. We just like a quiet cabin which of course can never be guaranteed.

The NAME of the ship might save me a lot of guesswork
My First guess is MSC Virtuosa
I think that is correct
Oh I’m so sorry Pete! <FacePalm>
Great and correct guess. MSC Virtuosa.

Is there somewhere to easily see the level of insurance MSC require? I’ve looked on the website but am
struggling.

Pete
Awe thank you Pete!
We are brand new to MSC (have sailed Disney, RCL and NCL) and looking at a U.K. Staycation cruise. It’s only 4 nights but we like natural light so looking at Oceanview. I’ve attached our options and by what I can figure out I think 8129-8143 and 8128-8144 would be without obstructed views due to lifeboats. I appreciate these are Bella cabins so not the best but happy with that seeing as it’s such a short cruise.

If you start a booking on the MSC site there is a tab to enter your Voyager club number before you select your cabin. It will then show prices with the discount added.
Thank you so much! Now to pick a cabin.....

Hello,
I've upgraded already!🤪
But I don't think much of the Specialty Restaurant deals - too much raw food & fish for my liking.
Regards,
Cublet
Can I ask please what speciality restaurant deals are available?

Hi all,
Completely new to MSC and looking to book for one of these U.K. cruises in May. I’ve status matched and received our loyalty club numbers. My question is (one of many) where do I enter it and at what stage in the booking process to receive the 5% discount?
Thanks!

I applied to status match our Disney Platinum yesterday afternoon and have just received our Diamond membership emails. Under 24 hours, fantastic customer service. Very happy and can get booked up now.

Hi all,
Firstly I am a U.K. customer. I think that will make a difference.
I recently used my FCC from when the Oasis TA was cancelled.
I was told any credit from that certificate that was not applied to the cruise fare was forfeited. I lost £19.
I see lots of threads saying that RC simply issued another FCC certificate for the over amount and wondered if this is only for US customers. I asked at least 3 time and each time was told “no you willlose the £19.” It was small so I am
ok with it but every little helps and it would of been much nicer to have another FCC.
I am currently booked on the Anthem in May so there’s a pretty big chance I will be in the same situation again. Sigh. -
In my experience they will give you the perks but not the extra OBC for booking onboard.
As aqua class I was able to choose two perks and I received the extra OBC for booking onboard. Like I said I did have to call up when I got home and give them my reservation number and the lovely guy manually updated my invoice and sent it to me to reflect all the perks and OBC credit.
-
I booked Celebrity on a Royal ship last August and got all the perks as if I had booked on a Celebrity ship. I did have to call when I got home to confirm and add them all.
-
Thank you for the tip about the sunny side I will keep that in mind. Am I right in thinking that if I wait and book onboard I can combine the $200 balcony onboard credit with the current promotion of $300 balcony obc and 60% off second passenger. And the C and A balcony discount?
-
Hi Everyone,
Thinking of booking this one. Seeing prices for just over a thousand pp for a balcony so seems pretty good for a two week cruise.
Do we get more or better benefits if we wait and book onboard? We are cruising RC soon.
-
To update for future searches on the same questions:- I called Celebrity directly today and they added the two perks we wanted and switched us to a cabin we originally wanted but the Rep onboard could not select for us. Completely painless and easy process to book Celebrity onboard Royal. Thanks again everyone for all your help and advice.
-
This was similar to what we experienced. I believe you are all set. Although in the same family, they have different identities. You can also change your perks at a later date.
Many Thanks. I will call as soon as we get home and add the two included perks.

I have all the menus from our Oct cruise on the Constellation in our review of that cruise. Here is a link to the menu page: LINK
Your website and reviews/info is absolutely fantastic. Thank you for sharing. I have bookmarked your page to refer to in the future.

So I'm onboard RC Indy right now and yesterday booked for Celebrity Solsitce. Had no probs doing this and the lady at Next Cruise seemed knowledgable and had no issues pulling up the cruise we wanted etc. I have recieved email confirmation. The only thing I am concerned about is that she said I will need to call Celebrity to have the onboard booking offer of two perks added (from a choice of four.) Shall I press the issue, go back and ask for what we want added or will Celebrity sort it out next week if I call? Any experience of this or thoughts greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks everyone for all your help and advice.

You would most likely hear the moving of chairs early in the morning when they are doing their cleaning/set ups for the day. Alot depends if you are a light sleeper or not. I try to make sure there are cabins above me if available.
That's what we try to avoid. We were once under the fitness center on a Disney Ship and it was very very loud. I would prefer cabins above as you said so I guess we should refuse the upgrade from A2 to A1 and stick with an aft cabin on deck 11.
-
The only available staterooms in A1 category are deck 11 midship underneath the pool area. Would this not be noisy?
-
Thank you for your reply. I'm a little worried as some people say Next Cruise staff onboard Royal are not too familiar with the onboard booking benefits of Celebrity and vica versa so I will have to remember to make sure we get the cabin we want.

I’m pretty laid back these days about such things. They are more than welcome to move me to a suite anytime they like.
