  1. We will be taking our 4th Oceania cruise in August. We have sailed on the Marina and the Riveria. We sailed one time on the Golden Princess to Alaska. The itinerary was great for that cruise and it sailed RT from San Francisco so living in San Jose, Ca. that meant no air plane ride. Our dear friends of 40 plus years invited us so we decided to try Princess.

    Two weeks before final payoff our friends had to cancel the cruise. We decided to go anyway and I'm glad we did. I loved the service on Princess and found their specialty restaurants comparable to Oceania's. The main dining room and the buffet were not anywhere near as good. The entertainment on Princess was a lot better than Oceania which was good for this trip. We had way too many sea days for our liking. We had anticipated our friends being there so it was nice that Princess had lots more to do than what is found on Oceania. We had a mini suite so room size was about the same but the feel was less luxurious than an Oceania veranda.

    I probably would not take another Princess cruise since I feel spoiled on Oceania.

  2. Hello, I have never taken a river cruise before and have a few questions that I am hoping someone can answer.

    We are taking the Paris & The Heart of Normandy cruise which leaves Le Pecq 4/16/17 and returns to Le Pecq Sunday 4/23/17. We have an overnight on the ship at Le Pecq on return. I made flight reservations for 10:00 am since we should be able to disembark at 6:30 am. I am allowing 30 minutes to get to the airport. Is 30 minutes enough on a Sunday? I will make reservations to have a car service at 6:30 am to go to the airport. Does this seem doable? Anyone see an issue with this?

    When does Viking normally release excursions on their site?

    Dear Valued Travel Partner,

    Please be advised of the following change to Crystal River Cruises. We kindly request your assistance in communicating this important information to your client regarding their booking on Crystal Debussy in 2017 and 2018.

    Based on overwhelmingly positive guest feedback regarding Central Europe itineraries in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Amsterdam and Holland, we have elected to delay our entry into the French river cruise market, choosing instead to prioritize our offerings in the German/Austrian region in order to meet high traveller demand for those destination experiences.

    As you know, Crystal Debussy was originally designed to sail on the Seine River from Paris to Normandy beginning June 2017. Therefore, to best serve our guests and accommodate her new itinerary on the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers, we are modifying and enlarging Crystal Debussy. Please note, her new service-entry date is April, 2018.

    Considering this significant itinerary change, we wish to protect and incentivize our valued guests who have already booked or made deposits on Crystal Debussy’s 2017 voyage by offering the following as alternative options to their Seine river vacations:

    Any Crystal Mozart voyage, plus $750 per person shipboard credit and $500 per person future cruise credit* ;

    Any Crystal Bach voyage and $500 per person future cruise credit*;

    Seven-day 2017 Crystal Esprit voyage, plus $750 per person shipboard credit and $500 per person future cruise credit.

    Up to 14-day 2017 Crystal Symphony European voyage in verandah stateroom and $500 per person future cruise credit*;

    $1,000 future cruise credit per person to apply toward any other 2017 Crystal Experience® (booked at prevailing rates).

    *Valid for 18 months and can only be used toward a second Crystal Experience beyond the one chosen as an alternate to their Crystal Debussy booking.

    We apologize for any inconvenience and disruption to your clients’ vacation plans and hope they find a perfect replacement within the multi-faceted Crystal luxury brand portfolio.

    We thank you for relaying this important information to your clients.

    Sincerely, Crystal Cruises
