  1. In case you are booked for bus transfers from either LAX or Long Beach to the ship, you might want to look at this.

    https://www.carnival.com/airport-transportation/airport-shuttles/los-angeles

"NOTE FOR CARNIVAL PANORAMA SAILINGS: Transfer service is expected to commence at 12:00 PM."

That's now a 2 1/2 hour difference than before. I don't know about you, but I don't want to start my vacation with 2 1/2 hours extra in the airport.

Is this due to the propulsion issues? Are the sailings no longer leaving at 4:30pm?

CDC color code for this sailing is now yellow with the CDC starting an investigation.

@Wanna_Cruize Thanks for the info on sip & cover being enforced in the venues and Elemis products still in the showers!

I’m nervous about Havana being crowded now with all the different colors of wristbands and no wristbands. Have you and your wonderful husband found it to be crowded? Also, tell us the story about when you told him about the Cabana upgrade and his reaction! Did you wait until after boarding to tell him?

I suspect (at least I hope) now that Carnival is no longer giving exemptions, the numbers will start going down.

  3. I called Carnival this morning and they didn't seem to have confidence in their answer, so I figured I'd try here.

Since I don't know my cabin number due to being a guaranteed cabin, how would the airport transfer work? Am I going to have to carry my bags onto the bus and get the luggage tags at the port?

The rep at Carnival said the people handling transfers don't have cabin numbers, so that option is out.

The side of a ship acts like a big sail, especially when it's going slow, and a wind gust can move the ship before the crew can react. I strongly suspect that is what happened here.

If that's the case, and it's possible you're correct that's what happened here, does that mean the space between ships docked in Cozumel needs to be fixed to allow for possible wind issues?

  5. Thanks for such a detailed review. It's discouraging about the waiter in the MDR pushing drinks on you just because you have the Cheers package. Though I suspect we have different views on T, I plan on wearing shirts too when I go on my cruise in January. I'll be interested also by the reactions one way or the other.

  6. Was wondering if anyone knew if the buffet on the formal nights matches the MDR's? From what I gather, it's pretty similar other nights.

Basically what I'm asking is if I choose not to dress up for formal night, will the buffet have lobster on the 2nd night of the cruise?

    Thanks in advance.
