Coming in two nights before our cruise. Looking at connecting rooms at Pier 66 for $101 per room per night or Embassy Suites king suite for $196 per night. It will be 2 adults and 2 seventeen year old girls during spring break in April.

Great! I was really worried this. Thanks for the reminder to bring an extension cord. I had forgotten the only outlets are at the desk area.

I have a small desk size fan that I always take with me when I travel. I hav hot flashes when I sleep and having a small fan next to my bed helps me survive the night. Can I bring it with me on the cruise?

I have never stayed in a GS, only a JS. If I had the extra money I would go for it! Sometimes we need to pamper ourselves and just enjoy the fruits of our labor.

I am between two hotels for our pre and post cruise stay. We (DH, DD17 and myself) will be staying three nights before and one night after. We will not have a car. I have friend that lives in Pompano Beach that has a car and a very nice very big boat:D She lives in a one bedroom condo so no room for the three of us to stay there. I am looking at pier 66 for $101.00 per night for a garden room AKA not in the tower. The other one is at the Holiday Inn on 17th for $172.00 a night. Pier 66 has some pretty bad reviews but a great price. This will be the weekend before Easter so prices are very high everywhere. I am still searching, but these are the lowest prices I have so far. DH works for the government so I am able to get the government price at some hotels.

Right out in public? :)
Hahaha. Do you know what a hand ceremony is? Like the one during the wedding not after.

Hi! My husband and I are celebrating our 20th anniversary with family and are booked to renew our vow on-board the cruise ship. We are ordering a cake, having dinner in Portofino and planning a Bon Voyage BBQ at home for the members of our family who cannot join us. It is very special to celebrate an anniversary in this manner, I am as excited as the day I got married the first time! Keep me posted on your plans and do not forget to post pictures!!
I am so excited! I feel like a bride:) We are leaving a week from Thursday My dress is being altered right now and I started packing. I ended up getting the vow renewal package from royal weddings. I know it is way over priced but oh well.... We are exchanging island hook bracelets and doing a hand ceremony. I ended up writing the whole ceremony myself. I did not like the generic wedding vows they do. It didn't really fit a vow renewal. they must be good because DH cried when he read them. We are doing the ceremony just before sunset in the chapel. I also did all mu own music. When is your cruise? Did you get a wedding dress?

Has anyone here stayed at the Ritz in Ft Lauderdale? Would love to read a review. Is it near the water taxi? Any good restraunts nearby? We will not have a car.

I am looking at two pre cruise hotels. I have the Double Tree Gallery One for $263 a night and the Harbor Beach Marriott for $164.00 a night for three nights. We will not have a car. I know that the Double Tree is on the water taxi and by the mall. How far is the Marriott from the water taxi and restaurants? Which hotel would be the best choice?

We are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary by renewing our vows on our cruise! We are so excited and having a great time making plans. I have my dress and I am getting it altered next week. DH is renting a tux from RCI. We have ordered room decorations and a cake to be served after our dinner in Portafino. Anyone else here doing a vow renewal on RCI?

We are coming to FLL for three days pre cruise. Looking at the Gallery One Double Tree or the Hilton Pier 66. We won't have a car so being near the water taxi sounds good to us. We have decided on the La Quinta for one night before heading home.
-
Can we get bottled water and soft drinks in the CL through out the day?
-
I'm at the LaQuinta on Friday and was planning on going to the Ale House for dinner since it has such a large menu so everyone should be able to find something to eat. Glad to hear that the food was good.
Please come back on here and let me know how the La Quinta was. Are you staying at the one on 26TH? Also interested in any restaurants nearby. We got a great rate at $109! This is where we are booked pre-cruise. Have not decided where we will be staying post-cruise.
