We've cruised Carnival for decades, in all types of cabins including suites. Our all time favorite is the cove balcony.
We are so close to the water that we can see fish other sea creatures. We've even been able to see coral sometimes.
Also, the sound of the waves gently washing up against the ship just below our balcony can be very soothing and relaxing.
Cove balconies are one of Carnival's best kept secrets. Because they are low and along the middle of the ship, there is less rocking and that can help people who may suffer from seasickness.
