  1. Yes Galveston is a good market but I would think that New Orleans would be as well since you can make it a vacation before the vacation and the trip down the Mississippi is said to be one of a kind. Of course I am just speculating since we do our first Nola in just under 50 days but we are looking so forward to it. since we have only cruised from Galveston.

  2. I for another am all for enforcing the dress code. I don't think the sundresses that go over bathing suits should be allowed either and as a parent because my teen is a reflection on me if he is coming with us to the dining room he knows that he is to be at the room to be showered and dressed by 5 as we normally have anytime dining or early seating. although my teen would not attempt to go to dinner in shorts... he loves his tux and would wear it to dinner every night... no matter what the age a passenger should not be talked to in a rude manner

  3. the magic does have a lot more to do for families and is a bigger ship so you might wanna keep that in mind.. but we had a spa cabin on the magic that included the steam rooms and the pools where kids were not allowed and it was awesome... I am sorry I can not help with the sunshine as have not cruised it. we did do the conquest and prefer the larger ships..

  4. Congratulations on getting your citizenship.. but there is nothing dreaded about the immigration officials they just like everyone else are just doing a job. as we have seen too often lately a very needed one. if you choose to cruise then you do choose to answer their questions.

  5. our teens 14 and 17 at the time did sleep on deck one night they had asked permission of one of the security officers and they sent them to guest services who called us to ask and make sure we would know where they were and said if any problems they would be in their cabin for remainder of cruise.. they said it was just like camping.. they had wanted to sleep in our yard but we live about 2 miles from Neuvo Laredo, mx so it is not safe to do here

  6. DONT stay by the ship! Go to Tabayana. We use Christopher Tours and its way cheaper then the ship. They treat you like family. They will even take you to an awesome zipline place that is better then at the port if you want.

I have heard that in Roatan there is a zipline that does not require climbing is that by chance the one they take you too? just questioning as our ds will turn 16 and wants to try he has permission from his cardiologist to do the zip as long as I can find one that does not have him climbing.

  7. I am wondering if anyone knows the current pricing for the day/week pass for the spa pool/steam rooms on the dream we are going on August 24 for a b2b and although we are in a spa room my mom is not and would like to be able to upgrade her to this

  8. Jenn Thank you so much for the time.

just wondering what part of Maine is your MIL from I grew up in Portland and have lived pretty much all over the state lol I went to school in Bangor and Fort Kent I love it up there but alast I married a gov. man and we live as close to Mexico as we can get in Laredo Tx funny never thought I would go from way up north to way down south..

  9. Hi Tao Traveller

welcome to cc. for Belize for the ruins we did a private tour with Nacho and Cynthia and I would highly recommend this. We were at the ruins the same time that the ship excursions were there we arrived before and left after and watched them get hurded from place to place while we enjoyed a nice leisurely tour. Nacho is very knowledgeable and very funny he has a great sense of humor. His prices are very reasonable for the service he provides he was waiting for us at the pier and was great at watching the time and created the tour just for us and was very aware of the ship schedules and made sure to have us back to the ship in plenty of time. In fact we loved them so much we have them booked for both weeks of our b2b in late august

  10. especially since this will be close to our last milestone birthday he deserves this... we with the great amazing God guiding the way have taken a child that medical science said would not see 1 and he will turn 16 on the carnival dream... amazing.. he was born with some really major heart defects and has undergone 7 open heart surgeries after the last surgery he died on the operating table it took them almost an hour to revive him enough that they could put him on ECMO(life support) he was going to turn 9 the next day (or this year boarding day) so that was 7 years ago.. it has been a long journey but we have seen God's work first hand and are confident he is not yet done but we know that his body is growing tired and have not found a surgeon that is willing to put him back in for another surgery and honestly he says he does not want another. he is my strength without him I would be lost
