Can you contact the resorts directly to obtain a day pass? Has anyone done this and if so how did you go about making the direct contact.?
I know it's Christmas, but you resurrected a 5 year old post for this? Well played sir.

And it appears you're blaming the cruise line? It was your nephew's fault.
It may appear so, but I am not. It was his fault, and he was lucky I was onboard to retrieve it.

Assuming you left them in a locked safe, the cabins steward can not open it. They need to call security, and they'll collect your stuff and take it to guest services.
A related story. On a recent cruise my nephew forgot his insulin. It was in the fridge. It got sent to guest services. I was on a B2B, so I went down a couple days later to try to collect it. What a pain. He was never contacted and had I not been there it would have been lost.

If your card is registered, they put a hold on it if you don't gamble at least a percentage of the transfer.
Perhaps this does not happen all the time. I haven't seen it and I usually don't gamble more than my free play and perhaps another 20. I took out more than a grand in OBC last time, so if they do require a percentage it's tiny.
-
I usually cash a chunk of OBC out at the casino. I tend to like to leave the ship with a small balance due, rather than letting them refund the balance to my credit card.

My dream in life is to get diamond status.
Dream higher. I have relatives who are Diamond and they have never paid for a cruise. 🙂

25 years loyal.... and your reward for loyalty is more removal of benefits!
I'd like them to remove more of these "benefits". We just end up tossing most of the paper documents they leave for us.

Resurrected because they have started allowing it again. Perhaps a one off because it is special occasion and no restrictions between Australia and New Zealand.
So are they allowing it OR is it a one-off? You can't have it both ways and I still think resurrecting a year old thread for this is bogus.

It's called advertising...

I’m planning on bringing some small cigars on board and then trying to smoke them in the casino. They are smaller enough where people may think they are some kind of cigarette.
It's not allowed, but, I am curious. My experience is that cigars get picked up pretty quickly in the casino and you are asked to put them out.

Where did you smoke cigars on allure?
The smoking section is on the pool deck, port side (I think). You can only smoke cigars outside. I find it's less than ideal especially when the ship is in motion so I have tended to enjoy them either ashore on while everyone else is ashore.

for us always been 6/7 days before sailing date
This has been my experience too. They have enough to do onboard without trying to deal with requests weeks out. Frankie says Relax.

My experience has been that often the full suite categories sell out early. This means you can't look for a price drop...or at least I can't. I find it's best to just pay the price you are happy with and forget about it.

You need to book once you board. The only way I have been able to book prior to boarding is by being on a B2B and making reservations aboard for the following week.

I just tried your search...it worked for me.

If I pay my final payment before December 10, will I get the bonus points?
I'll bet the payment needs to post with BoA before the 10th. I'd make it a week early just to give myself some wiggle room.
-
It's basically the typical drink price, which I currently think is 15 dollars or so. You can pay the difference if you want something over the price.

've only used my Royal Caribbean/BOA Visa rewards once and it was for OBCs on the Ovation May 2022. It was easy peasy, I had no problem at all.
Just to be clear, there is a difference between redeeming rewards for OBC and payments towards a cruise. The latter is where they are now not applying them until close to the final payment date.

In addition to the above, also search (filtered to titles only) the term "royalup" all one word - the main thread is under that title.
If it's helpful, you can do both at once on Google...try this.
site:boards.cruisecritic.com +"royal up" OR +royalup

I turned in reward points enough for a $500 companion fare on a cruise. I did this back in May. The final payment is due November 26. My balance yesterday was $2014 so I decided to pay $1514 and leave the $500 for Bank of America to pay. They said they would do it close to final payment.
This newish policy about applying the credit close to final payment is making me seriously consider dumping the card. It's not that good anyway and I don't like the stress of waiting for the payment to show up.

Thanks cigar king. Do you have any specific threads or tips where to find other threads on this. I have not seen any and would like to look at.
Have you tried the "search" function? For myself I prefer using Google. Try this:
site:boards.cruisecritic.com +"royal up"

Navigator of the Seas Suite Perks
in Royal Caribbean International

The suite benefits on Navagator are meh. The room is the real perk.
