Yeah, I snagged 9390 aft for Oct. 2014 yesterday....so excited!:D

It was only 200 more than our recent Mariner interior cabin...too kool!

We are in 9392 in April 2014 - I can't wait!

A little somber today - we were supposed to be boarding the mariner today - but had to push it back a year due to work (or lack of!).

Senior frogs was fun - but very expensive

I used them in January on the Mariner OTS with no problems . I put a smaller one in each shoe, and two 32oz RR wrapped in my jeans. We also brought on two 12 packs of soda and a soft sided cooler with no problems. Our cabin attendant kept our cooler full of ice. With the wine at dinner, we still had a $650 bar tab, and brought 1/2 of the liquor home with us!

Any recent Oasis Platinum cruisers get the coupon book? Does it still have the laundry coupon? Do you remember anything else in it?

It doesn't look like there is much difference between Gold and Platinum level. I have 22 points, and I can reach platinum on my next cruise if I book a JS, but is it worth the $300 PP additional just to get platinum level on this cruise? I am wondering whether any future platinum booking discounts plus the minimal coupon book differences are worth it. Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm thinking I should just book a balcony cabin - get to 29 points, and use the $600 to cover our bar tab! Does anyone know if I am overlooking something, or is there really no big incentive to reach Platinum level?

I booked the aft balcony on the Mariner after talking to a friend who LOVES the huge balconies. He said there were 2 lounges, 2 chairs and a table on his aft balcony. We were originally booked on the 7th deck (7690), but moved up to the 9th deck when it opened up (9692). The lower decks have a great view, but there is some of the aft structure visible. the 9th and 10th decks seem like they almost have a clear view. I'll let you know how we like it when we get back in January!

It's great to see how may of us took our first cruise on RCL's very first ship! It was my honeymoon cruise back in 1988 - 7 day Eastern Caribbean out of San Juan - anyone remember the stops? All I remember is Martinique, San Martin, Barbados, but it seemed like we stopped somewhere every day. We were so tired of being tourists that we just stayed on the ship one day! My souvenir coffee mug outlasted the marriage!
