I struggle with this, and I'm admitting it's an emotional thing with me. But, here goes:
In the last 7 days:
I've had my nephew, his wife, and his under-5 daughter get sick with COVID.
I have a friend where her niece, her niece's husband, and BOTH their children ages 3 years and the 6 month old baby get COVID. There is no one to take care of them in Ohio.
My son's co-worker lost her grand-daughter on Thursday to COVID. She was in chemo for breast cancer and died within 72 hours of testing positive.
Do you HAVE to take your daughter off the ship on a tour? Can she stay in Adventure Ocean where the protocols are safer than a tour? Just think about it; it's all I'm asking.
Wow. I am so sorry. Truly, that is heartbreaking.

Ya'll, I promise I've searched everywhere. I can't find answers about unvaccinated children. Please help.
-I know the unvaccinated must take a cruise sponsored excursion. On Carnival, they have specific tours set aside called "Bubble Tours"... on RCCL, how do I know WHICH tours are open to my unvaccinated 3 year old... all of them?
Thank you soooo much!

We got $63 for an umbrella, chairs, and four drinks. There were two more tiers. Middle was around $90 and included six drinks and top was $115 and included eight drinks. We picked the low tier and then switched to beer buckets for $13 a pop (included four beers)
Awesome! Thank you!

Does anyone know pricing? I saw in the past it was $90 for umbrella/ chairs/ 6 drinks? Now on trip advisor, someone posted $115 for the same. Im debating between this and Hilton pass

Been on both.
Epic was our first NCL cruise, Getaway was our second. I think they are really similar in design. However, I will say that Epic seems more closed in. You can be on multiple floors and never see the ocean- feels like it lacks windows….that may be my imagination, but it just feels like that. Getaway has TONS of outdoor bars and sitting areas.
My choice would be Getaway

Has anyone gotten an upgrade on the 12/3 Getaway cruise?

We really didn't use the butler any on our times in the haven. I think the best part, overall is the quiet of the area. None of the chaos, pushing and shoving that you can sometimes feel on a cruise. The bar area is NEVER busy- when you are in at the haven pool the staff bring you your drinks. Also, you have your own restaurant with excellent food - however the menu doesn't change. You have reserved seating at shows, priority embark, disembark.
ITS. AMAZING.

We went to the Shore Excursions desk to get our assignment.
Awesome! Thank you!

On Carnival, once you board the ship you go to guest services to reserve your cabana number. For our Enchantment- April 20th cruise, we booked a bungalow (the one on south beach), how do you know which one is yours? Do you reserve it at Guest Services, preassigned, or first come first serve?
thanks :)

Your review is awesome. I am going on Carnival Sensation 4/20, then switching over to RCCL Enchantment 2/24- I was wondering how it would work switching from Carnival to RCCL- thank you for including that part in your review!

Awesome review! Love the pictures, thanks!

The upset # is1 800 625 4309.
I booked with a TA. My cruise is April 9th on Getaway. I called myself yesterday- about 30 days out. I went from a regular balcony to the Haven Spa suite for $1000 total. My original booking was for $2550- to all together 3550. The going price for that room now is somewhere around $5300. So, i think it was a good deal.

Yay! I am so excited for your review! Awesome photos of the Haven!

Our last cruise in April 2015 was our first on NCL. I upgraded us to a haven 2 bed-room. I am hoping to upgrade us again when prices drop for our 10 year anniversary in April this year.
I love your videos Jim! Looking forward to your review~

Hey there! My husband and I got a cabana when we were on our cruise in April this year. I was really hesitant to get one as well. But it ended up being totally worth it… There were people EVERYWHERE. We watched them searching for chairs with no luck.
When you have a cabana, food and drink are not included. But, you have a personal waiter who comes around every 30 minutes or so to take orders and delivers the food to you.
Having shade and your own space was awesome!

I was looking at this excursion as well. Do you know exactly how long you are at Rum Point Beach? I am mainly interested in going to Rum Point: but I can't find a single excursion for that.

hey! I'm with you! I actually booked the UDP in hopes that I could go ahead and book Cirque for the first night, but still nothing. I knew that most entertainment options wouldn't be open until 45 days out ( like 3 days away now), but Cirque was suppose to be open earler for UDP. Boo! lol ! I am actually excited to see what they come up with for entertainment though.

So I was searching through the blogs tonight trying to find some info on Sunshine when I came across this amazing review… First, I saw you comments about finding flights in Richmond, then the pictures of Virginia license plates. After a few more pages I figured out we both live in Lynchburg :) Yay for Lynchburg cruisers!
Awesome review!

Glorious, glorious updated menus <3

Loving your review & the updated menus :) Thank you, thank you!

I'm going on Glory next week:) This will be my 8th carnival cruise, I'm so nervous about the new menus because I am bringing my dad, sister and niece who have never cruised before. I have always bragged to them about how awesome the cruise food is vs. food at all-inclusives.
I am SO glad to finally hear someone have something positive to say about the new menu :)

I am shocked by this! I wonder why Carnival is so different?! Do you know, do they keep you separated or something, my pea brain can’t comprehend how the two lines could have such vastly different policies?
