1. For our first couple cruises we refused to go to the steakhouse because it was an additional cost, but then we finally gave in and went. We are meat eaters, but for you I say it's still worth it… steak or not.

The bread they give you, it's rosemary or something, is heavenly. Its crispy and buttery and its like none other. Seriously, I know this sounds crazy, but I would pay the fee, just for that bread! As for the appetizers I am equally impressed with their lobster bisque. I never eat lobster bisque usually, but on vacation I like to try usual foods and it is once again, heavenly. I do eat steak, but I am not like a huge steak lover, I am always more into sides: they have wasabi mashed potatoes that are so unique tasting.

The desserts to me are just okay. The cheesecake is GIGANTIC, but it doesn't have that new york taste that I really like, its more vanilla tasting. The service at the steakhouse is 5 stars, I would say go on the first night so you can also get your free bottle of wine ;)

**Rosemary tastes different than it smells, its a really strong herb, so it is used sparingly.

  2.
Hello Aimee! My extended family of 9 is seriously thinking about Ms. Liberty in July 2015 and going to St. Thomas, GT, San Juan. Did you do a review on here? If not, could you give us a brief note on what you liked the most? What are a few "not to miss things" on the ship, too?
    Thank you!!
Yes, Half Moon Cay, I think getting a private cabana is a must (If you can afford it) for a group of 9 they have a bigger one that is a bit more expensive, but you could split the cost.

St Thomas has a ton of options. My favorite is Sapphire beach, but I read recently that most of the shoppes have closed down and there are no bathrooms, so Magens bay is another great option. Also, we have taken the fairy to St Johns and gone to Trunk bay: the snorkeling there is awesome.

San Juan is a really nice place to do some shopping and sight seeing. We did the Segway tour (you can google it). I am super clumsy which made it really funny.

Grand Turk is a nice beach day, but we have also done a island tour through Carnival which takes you to the lighthouse and to the Salt factory? I guess its a salt factory… I don't know the correct name for it. Anyways, its really laid back.

As far as the ship, Liberty is my second favorite ( Breeze is #1). I like its more neutral color scheme. We had a interior window room and I just loved the layout and the staff on the ship. I got really lucky in the casino and the staff in the casino were just really funny. I hope you have a fabulous time with whichever one you choose :)
  3. I've sailed on Liberty twice and the ship is amazing! I went twice on the same destinations, once in June 2013 and once October 2012 : St Thomas, San Juan, Grand Turk, and Half Moon Cay. I have all of my pictures posted on Facebook. I really have no idea of how to post on here ??

I am going again on that same route, but this time on Glory in 19 days. Let me know and I can post the link to my Facebook page, or just friend me. Aimee "Reynolds" Parsons. I have all my cruise pictures under there :)

  4. Hey, I was wondering the same thing as you! I have been to Sapphire beach.. It is amazing, but recently the businesses have closed up shop and there is no more bathrooms. ( you can find the story if you google virgin island daily news : sapphire beach ).

Magens bay was not impressive to me as a beach: its prettier from afar.

We did go to Trunk Bay on St John, but its just too far.

Emerald beach sounds good, I know its also called Lindberg Bay and Best Western is the main hotel there, but does anyone have any photos? How much does it cost to get there? How long from Havensight?

  5. Hello fellow cruisers! I have been to St Thomas 3 times. I've visited Sapphire beach, Magens Bay, and Trunk Bay on St John. This time, my sister, father, and 5 year old niece are accompanying my husband and I. They are first time cruisers.

I was keen on Sapphire beach, but through trip advisor I've read that the dive shop has closed, and so have the bathrooms: with a 5 year old that marks that one off the list.

Trunk bay was awesome, but the taxi to the ferry, then another taxi to the beach, then the same thing all the way back … its just too much traveling for them.

I suppose Magens could be ok, but really, I wasn't impressed. Does anyone know anything about Coki, Secret Harbour or Honeymoon bay. I need a beach with a bathroom, food, preferably within 30 minutes to haven sight, and I would love to be able to snorkel (wow, I sound like a DIVA!)

    Thank ya!

  6. Hey about cabins... I booked room 9292, which is an interior on the Liberty. I really wanted room 2473. Its a corner room with one of the huge windows, but the lady with Carnival convinced me not to because she said that it was going to be really loud. I just can't decide if I should change or not. Quiet room with no window, or noisy room with a huge window? How loud is it going to be anyways?
